... to get you morons to source your articles and not believe every single word you see or hear.

Yeah, you know Tim Ream to Juventus? Aguero will 99% join, as concluded by FSC? Those nice articles that just seemed so real? Football pundits like Warren Barton and the NFL's Curt Menafee having those little inside informants scattered everywhere? All fake. Yet the majority of the forum believed the rumors I pulled out of my ass. Why? Because nobody fucking sources shit here anymore, they just post random articles and rumors they copied and pasted from elsewhere and say, "viola, here's the article, you know where it's from!" It has become acceptable here to post every single matter that is not opinion without providing a source. Well, those are my FSC rumors. Who's ass have you looked into today?

You see, sourcing information is very important in today's world. With the development of the Al Gore Internet, information travels around the globe at a record pace, spawning the possibility that the information is transmitted improperly. Since information travels so quickly and is so readily available, internet geeks seem to subconsciously use this fact as an excuse to not do their "due diligence", continuing to disseminate factoids as if they were confirmed. It is an incredibly unhealthy practice.

On this forum, we are certainly blessed with people who understand the game. It's just too bad they've never written a works cited page. All sorts of articles go unsourced, references to unknown rumor-mongers from other sites are not even provided with a link, and nobody even questions this sort of activity.

I don't care if this is not the court of law -- if you don't properly source articles or bits of factual information, don't bother posting it to begin with. It only takes a couple clicks of the mouse to copy and paste links to Football Italia articles, or to a forum where some ignoramus is claiming he knows the Aguero transfer will go through because he slept with some bumbfuck janitor behind Stadio Delle Alpi. Some people don't even read Football Italia anymore because of their inane advertisements.

Other internet forums (more serious places than this, obviously) state clearly in their guidlines that if you don't source your articles, you receive a ban. I think at the very least, warnings should be given to those insolent individuals who choose not to have the common courtesy to source their shit.

Most people have the common sense to be able to tell what is going on with these articles.

Sorry if you lack that talent.
If you don't understand the importance of sourcing articles, then you must not have any intellectual talent yourself. Perhaps you really don't have a future in a law profession if you can't understand this discussion -- the world needs plenty of bartenders, after all. In that field, all you need to source is the fucking Bartender's Bible. Here you go, take a look, kiddo.

By the way, kids. The above is an example of SOURCING! See, we learn something new everyday, don't we.

Bring back the 'head up the ass' picture.

My head is up my ass because I don't source. Of course it should only apply to football related shit.

Here's my input, let the moderators use it

Exactly. I love how folks do that without sourcing. Chances are that piece info has a less than 50% chance of being correct, from my experience here.

Sourcing rumours here would effectively kill the whole "transfer guru" image that some of these retarded jesters are keen to project. You know, the would-be insider thing.

The only suggestion I can give is to open a general rumour round up similar to what VS have in the ' Angle of the guru ' then you're free to enter if you like or not and it does not clog up the player threads.

Judging by the amount of time many people spend on this whole thing, I'd say relatively seriously.

Would be a good idea. Player threads should be reserved for actual news and/or discussion.
