Israeli official says attack on Iran 'unavoidable'
Olmert deputy tells newspaper sanctions not slowing Iran's nuclear work

JERUSALEM - An Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites looks “unavoidable” given the apparent failure of sanctions to deny Tehran technology with bomb-making potential, one of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s deputies said Friday.

“If Iran continues with its program for developing nuclear weapons, we will attack it. The sanctions are ineffective,” Transport Minister Shaul Mofaz told the mass-circulation Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.

“Attacking Iran, in order to stop its nuclear plans, will be unavoidable,” said the former army chief who has also been defense minister.

It was the most explicit threat yet against Iran from a member of Olmert’s government, which, like the Bush administration, has preferred to hint at force as a last resort should U.N. Security Council sanctions be deemed a dead end.

Personally, I don't think this gonna escalate much .. The grudge between Iran and Israel is too old and have billion reasons not to end up in a war ..

But I'll still watch up the matter closely, since the matter directly affect the region I live in :) ..

That was expected, remember when Iran's president said that Israel should be erased from the planet Earth. Also, lunatics just shouldn't have permission to have nuclear weapon.

Funny thing is they don't .. Don't fall for weapons of mass destruction again ..

If I say that the US should be wiped out from the face of Earth, would Bush be hunting me down? screw me .. it's just a figure of speech on how Khumaini hates Israel..

so then who should decide that who should have permission? The "sensible" Americans, or perhaps the "responsible" Israelis?

NOBODY should have nuclear weapons

What would you do if some your neighbor say that he'll drop a bomb in your apartment?

I'll say bring it on bitch ..

Anyway, that wouldn't make sense .. because life isn't black or white (though for us juventini it is) ..

It's not a matter of either Iranians exist or Israelites exist .. each one's lives does not depend on the others death .. so why would they fight? Iran has access to Uranium ?? yes Uranium that's only good for power generation and would do no harm if developed into a weapon ..

We have a say here in Balkans;
"a dog that barks, never bites"...

Israeli won t dare to attack Iran, without the full support of the US army,
they are just trying to intimidate them, for now at least...
When the US will decide to make a war, we will its symptoms with the usual war propaganda from the US media.
The time has not yet come, Bush dont have the necessary time to start it and the democrats have other priorities...
Just relax and enjoy the Euro 2008 and the Chinese Olympic games!
