    Bottom line is this...

We are playing boring football and getting somewhere. The most disappointing result this season was against an even more boring team, Liverpool.

On the other hand, Roma are playing some exciting football (what with the fights and all what not), yet they are as close to Serie B as Parma and Fiorentina.

No, but I expect them to at least have the ability to take a ball to the half-way line, like most top-class centre-backs, Nesta, Terry, Ferdinand, Samuel, Lucio all these players can...now maybe it is Capello's tactics (wouldnt surprise me), but I dont know, so all I can say from what I have seen they cant, thus meaning that they are in my opinion overrated.

It's not their job to take the ball to the half way line, it's the holding midfielders job. Now, if Roma's defenders concentrated more on defending rather than taking the ball upfield maybe they wouldnt concede so many goals.

Besides, a defenders job is to defend. Thuram is one of the most technically gifted players among centre backs, and I'm sure he'd have no problems taking the ball up. But, it's not his job, and I'd rather have him stay back and defend. Thats what defenders do you know, defend.

Is that your "theory" chxta? What about Barcelona? And how did we win it in 2001? What about all of Man Utd's titles? I think it is rubbish to suggest boring teams win more titles, although it perhaps isnt the best season to argue this as "boring" teams have done well this year, to the sorrow of all who love great football.

Are we being criticized from a fan whose team is battling to avoid relegation?

Are Capello's decisions being criticized by a fan who used to think that Capello was the best manager until he moved to Juventus?

I accept all the criticism you want but not in this ugly form....

I'd love to see you find anything I have ever said, that could possibly, even slightly of "praise" towards Capello!

And I am not "critising", all I am saying is that, it would be nice if teams who actually play football, not chess...are the teams winning...of course that is my own perfect world, so nevermind.

Chess used to be, and still is a nice game. Great to play, but I must admit, sometimes boring to watch...

    Especially when idiots are playing:devil:

I only got to met you after Capello moved to Juventus, but knowing you (as in Roma fans) I am sure you praised him on more than one occasions for the years that he spent in your *cough Empire *cough

    Who said anything about that?

Roma is bigger then Capello, so what he brought us a Scudetto, great. A better coach could of done more, Ancelotti would of made us into an "empire"...
