Emerson in his prime was great but these days he isnt at that same level he once was.

Age is just one thing, i really dont see him returning to juve and being as great as he was before moving to spain.

How much better is Emo over zanetti? and will Ranieri be using Zanetti this season?

As i have mentioned, if Tiago and Almiron are both playing and Ranieri wants a player to sit back, Zanetti is more than capable of doing this. If Ranieri wants oneof the two partnering a DM, then yes, go for Emo.

In reality, defence is the key area the club needs to fix.

the only player id have back is cannavaro
id take any player back, except for the ones that betrayed us by joining INTER! Losing Canna and Zambrotta was the worst thing that happened to us IMO, our defence will never be the same, at least not for a long time. And Emo will surely be missed as well, i agree with everything Badass has said about him.

Just like i predicted, we wont sign back any of the players we sold,
we never did...
Because that rarely happens in football world, sure there are examples out there.. But this doesn't mean it will never happen with us :undecide:

Emerson

5 millions is way too much. He is not worth it anymore. We should make him a fair offer, and if he doesn't take it he can go wherever he wants. But I really hope we get a player a little bit younger. Just a liitle bit.

5 mill transfer bid? i think for someone as proven and as good as him, 5 mill is a bargain, but i think we should start low and go in with 3 mill

Emerson Quashes Inter Claims

Real Madrid's Emerson has issued a statement through his agent denying any talks with Internazionale...

Emerson's future at Real Madrid seems insecure, but the player has denied having had transfer discussions with Inter Milan.

The midfielder's agent said, "Emerson is contracted to Real Madrid for two more years. I cannot speak about something which does not exist," referring to transfer talks with the Italian giants.

Former Juventus man Emerson has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for the past couple of months, after Merengue president Ramon Calderon insisted that the player would depart the club in summer.

However, with Inter supremo Massimo Moratti announcing a moratorium on incoming transfers, and no other club showing a concrete interest, it looks as if Emerson could remain in Madrid until January at least.

Emerson denies Inter talks

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Real Madrid midfielder Emerson is not on the verge of joining Inter according to his agent Gilmar Veloz.

The Brazilian has been heavily paired with the Italian champions over the past few weeks, after Adriano and Coach Roberto Mancini confessed their admiration for the former Juventino.

Transfer guru Ernesto Bronzetti had stated last week that the player was close to moving to the San Siro, as the deal was “almost finalised.”

“Emerson is contracted to Real Madrid for two more years. I cannot speak about something which does not exist,” insisted Veloz in a brief statement when questioned on the matter.

Chief Massimo Moratti announced last Thursday that Inter’s transfer campaign was over and that there would be no more new signings.

However, reports in Italy continue to suggest that El Puma is still a transfer target for the Nerazzurri.

The Milan club is yet to discover if Patrick Vieira’s knee problem will allow him to be fully available for the start of the upcoming season and could be on the lookout for an alternative to the Frenchman.

Why don't we try to sign Thyram and Makelele just for one season to help us qualify for C.L. and then retire?
You're speaking a lot of shite tonight.

No way Thuram could ever return.

Chelski won't let Makelele leave because they will lose Essien and Mikel to the African Nations Cup for part of next season.
