Juve Defuse Emerson And Grygera Reports Juventus chairman Giovanni Cobolli-Gigli took the chance today to play down those reports that indicated both Real Madrid midfielder Emerson and Ajax defender Grygera were on the verge of joining (in the Brazilian’s case rejoining) the 'Italian Old Lady.’

“We will not buy any new players this January, and I’m not optimist with what regards Grygera’s arrival,” Cobolli-Gigli said before talking about Emerson, who in less than six months in Madrid went from being Capello’s favorite to regular bench-warmer.

“It is hard that Emerson arrives as well. We left in good relationships, and it will be heard that he returns to Juventus,” he added.

The Juventus supremo then tried to reassure the Bianconeri fans as he vowed to create a competitive side very soon.

“The management is working to create a competitive team in both the Champions League and Serie A.”

I will be very worried if the chairman thinks that getting promotion from serieB will automatically qualify us for Champions league. There is the small matter of playing some games in serieA first, doing well enough by coming at leats 3rd or 4th depending on Platini's job next season and then he can start thinking of Cl

I guess you wasnt cheering when he scored that lucky goal against werder bremen last year? or when he stopped many attacks and scored goals for us?

I don't care what other people think. Emerson would be perfect for our squad and i do hope we sigh him back.

a little luck doesnt makeu great or even good player. Showing u can do u job on the field really well time and time again duz. so becuz emerson had a few good games doesnt qualify him to be good enuff player for juve in the future. and great players show there worth for years not just half a season or one season so if u think dat a few good games from emerson wud gain us promotion back to serie a and then a champions league spot u better think twice, celine dion said it best.

10) Finally which of the reasons i have not given makes you ask that question?
Well it was never exactly clear to me. I mean, it was obvious you always followed Juventus, however I didn't know if you actually considered yourself a supporter. I guess most of it stems from how you sometimes distance yourself from Juve supporters... ie, "I don't want to be disrespectful to Juve fans." I have seen you do this in the past and it's a little confusing.

Okk so youre saying emerson played 2 seasons full of luck at Juve? Damn i really can't believe this ,he was for 2 seasons our most reliable player without a doubt,he never got the credits for it but he was our engine on the midfield in both defense and attack and a few good games? I believe Emerson was one of the more stable players last 2 seasons, maybe he is slow i admit that but he always worked hard for Juve and can teach many things to both paro and zanetti, afterall he wasnt in the brasilian national squad for no reason. i dont hate him because he left us and i still welcome him back too Juve same goes for Zambro.

Distance myself? Are you talking about the people on here? We all support teams in different ways, some people are more interested in individuals, so when the individuals leave, they are no more interested, some support because a team is winning, some because they play great football, some show their support by hating the team's rivals. I love football and i love it more than i love Juventus. Yes Juventus is the team i support but i am not a moron, i don't blame ills of anything on anybody else if its my fault. When i say , i dont wanna be disrespectful to juve fans i am distinguishing from other team's fans, there are on here. I have said I do not wanna be disrespectful to Dp fans too and that does not mean i am not a fan of his, its just means i am not being personal thats all. Now if being a fan means that i get to question a player's integrity or things he does outside his ability on the field then, no, I am not a supporter of that. Also I am not interested in talking about a player with little or no ability being a better option than someone who can play just because I think the guy with no ability loves Juventus as long as when he is at Juve he is doing it on the pitch, not telling people how he loves juventus when he cannot play for shite
I have read some saying they would rather Tacchinardi who hardly plays for villareal than Emerson because Tacchinardi supposedly loves the club. Yes I love passionate players but not too many in my team, i prefer ones with ability, they kinda win matches and play better football and thats what i am after. I guess the major difference between me and a lot of people here and so called supporters in general is that I still believe that football is a game and its not a matter of life and death. Its a form of entertainment

Emerson is a great player and it will always be, but I think Juventus should go on a promising player that he is more younger.

How can you say that.. Did you see the topic caption "The return of Emerson". He is our saviour. God, please bring super Emerson to Juve this summer.
