IMO the debate about what ppl define as blue or white rather what they actually see. As a matter of fact the colour is very bright&low saturation blue which many ppl describe as white, dark white or white-ish.

Under certain white-balance a paper sheet can also look blue-ish. So it is legit so assume the dress is white BASED ON THAT PICTURE ONLY.
