Well I can undelete an old thread, but I -- even as admin -- cannot find the old funny pics thread for the life of me. And yet you do forum searches, and the counters show something is there like dark matter in the universe, and yet the thread and posts are invisible.

This is more than a little bizarre. But I am exhuming this deleted dupe until we can find what happened to the pics thread and can remerge later.

Read one post up, yo. Sheik and crew discovered it missing this morning. And I, even logged in as an admin, cannot find it for anything ... even though there are faint hints that something is there hidden.

This is totally weird. Is there some sort of 'thread history' log where you can find out if anyone deleted the thread by accident or something?

I can find deleted threads from 2007 and bring them back from the dead, but I cannot find the big funny pics thread used as recently as yesterday. Go figure.

Technically, if it was deleted by accident, I should have been able to find it by the same methods I found this.

But there isn't a log for a specific thread unless -- catch 22 -- you find the thread. Deleted or otherwise. Even if someone renamed the thread to "" so you couldn't search for it by name, it should show up in post searches, in recent activity in subforums, etc.

The timing was uncanny. I searched for posts where I typed "Dolan", knowing that they were in the funny pics thread and I mentioned them. Sure enough, the search results showed only the visible threads but then suggested that there may have been a couple of matches that weren't even returned in the search results.

I blame Dolan.

Eh....might be something to do with me - I got bored and was looking through the market place and saw that you could sticky threads and didn't believe that us commoners would be allowed to, so I tried it with that AC thread about buying a car and that disapeared too. My bad if it is to do with that

Doesn't the website hold any backups? If there are any backups of any sort, then surely we can salvage something. Who actually takes care of the website itself anyway?

Looks like the thread is gone, by chance I bookmarked a link to the thread to probably one of my posts about dolan (I don't remember) but it says 'No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator'
