kudos to you Zlatan, for mentioning Gianluca.

My favourite Juve player after Del Piero,he's the most reliable of our oldies and has stood the test of time well and emerged unscathed, and capello has justly rewarded him with his fair share of games this season.i always thought of him as a superb crosser and a great fighter for our cause.never complains, always delivers.

Forza Pessotto.:touched:

one game to remember was when we were playing against Galathasaray and pessotto's wife told him that she was gonna divorce him if he went to turkey and he still did.

Probably the most underrated and undervalued member of the current Juventus squad, Gianluca Pessotto, nicknamed the Professor.

I personaly am a big fan of Gianluca, he's one of the most consistent players in the game, you always know what to expect from him. He may not be spectacular and fast like Zambrotta, but he does his job and he does it well, whenever he plays. To top it off, he's one of the nicest guys in Italian football, never one to make a dangerous challenge or get into a fight on the field, he always behaves with class and dignity, true Juventus style.

He was once one of the great Juvetus players, an important factor in the team, as well as an NT starter, as he should have been in WC 2002, had he not suffered a serious injury, which, in turn, cost him his place both in Juventus and in the Azzuri shirt.

I say, kudos to you Gianluca, and thank you.
I agree with everything you've said. That injury really screwed up his career

Juve players always have injuries to screw up their careers. DP and salas are in the list, too.

Finally, the deserved tribute to that great player. Kudos, indeed.

i swear. i used to laugh when i saw him stuff up. but as soon as he stepped up for a penalty in euro 2000, and slotted it home with class, i totally changed. he lost his unco-ordiantion and became stable.

same as panucci, he was the only reason italy used to get goals against hahaha. but when euro 04 came, he was one of a very short list that performed in the tourn.

It's good that Z has taken some time out to give Pessotto some recognition because players like him and Birindelli are so often overlooked, underrated, and their contributions not taken seriously.
