Have never heard any of the other ones.

So The Who by default and because they are one of my favorite bands.
They are number 3 for me behind The Beatles and Queen for my all time favorite bands.

The Who were fucking GODS

The Beauty of the Who

You put quite possibly the greatest drummer of all time (Keith ), the greatest Bassist of all Time (The Ox), the greatest power voice in rock ( Roger), and possibly one of the greatest songwriters in Rock (Pete), and you have the perfect storm of everything a rock band should be

I'm not as big a fan of The Who as you guys, but I think they're definitely within the top 10 greatest rock bands in history. That said, I think I like Pearl Jam's cover a little more. I was thinking of comparing Durst's cover of 'Behind Blue Eyes', but it would be an insult to The Who.

I can't make my mind up over this next one.

Massiive Attack - Teardrop

Jose Gonzales - Teardrop (cover)

I would have shot you in the face with a Bazooka if you tried to do that comparison

I think I just found the ultimate cover/orginal.

Bob Dylan - All Along the Watchtower

Dave Mathews - All Along the watchtower(cover)

Jimi Hendrix - All Along the watchtower(cover)

This is the toughest one for me.

Both are great. Rush
There's a ton of covers of this, but I saw this cover live last night.

Black Sabbath - "War Pigs" (original)
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xsxqk_black-sabbath-war-pigs_music

(A good video version with an Iraq invasion theme.)

Cake - "War Pigs"
(Also with Iraq invasion theme video)

"War Pigs" was the first encore at the Cake show I saw in SF last night. I haven't seen a Cake show here since a few days before 9/11.
Interesting cover. I just felt that the song didn't reach the crescendo's\epicness that the original did in certain parts. But the rest of the parts were a good rendition of the original.
