My parents are Catholic and I was raised as a Catholic. I know quite a lot about this subject matter.

Sure, of course people will be angry for offending your God, but it is not something you can control because I can assure you there are millions of other people out there offending your God under your nose. Thinking you can control this is problematic because it spurs on religious extremism.

For every one person insulting Allah on here, you have thousands of others all over the place doing the same, so the only thing you're doing is making a stink about someone offending you, not Allah.
You are right, but its just that there are people and people, some people can take it and some cant. But the thing that is most important is, how far would those people, whose God has been offended, would go in order to punish that person. That is why many people dislike muslims, even hate them. Cause they would go as far as decapitating him.

Well, everybody likes a good show.

But Seven isn't innocent here, Hoori. It goes both ways.
Never claimed otherwise. Even about Islam, which he dislikes a lot he's had many wrong perceptions many times and I know that many of them were only supposed to provoke the Muslim members. But I'm sure that it wasn't Andries who started it this time. He's to blame. Perhaps his ban is deserved as well but he's not the only guilty of this. In fact, he's the least to blame for what happened in the avatar center.

They don't want to ignore him. For their own peace of minds, they probably should. If its masochism, as you say, then it is masochism for the people on the receving ends of his posts, and it is up to them to ignore him.

He got what he wanted. He wanted people to take notice, and he did.

Ironically, even now, if he had some sort of Machiavellian ulterior motive to all of this, it certainly is working.

Look, he and I had numerous differences in the past, especially regarding the Twin Towers, where he basically said that it was a good thing they were knocked down because they were ugly. That got to me. But you know what I learned?? I am the only one who can decide what gets to me and what doesnt, especially when the ones doing the provoking are thousands of miles away under the security of the internet. Because I guarantee you that if he, or anyone else here, met me, or Vinman in person, they wouldn't even think about saying that stuff to our faces for even one second.
Exactly

Of course Seven is right, your eyes twinkle every time he speaks.
I know it's what bothers you the most but if you just go through the discussions I've had with him, you'd realize that most of times I don't agree with what he says. Pity that you don't even read my posts.

FYI I can post in closed threads without opening them so it's not like I'm opening them for the sake of posting and then closing them in order for someone not to respond to it. You seriously need to stop thinking you know it all, you clearly don't.
You're missing the point completely, as always. You post in somewhere that I can't respond. No matter if you need to /open it/close it once again/ or not (I have never been a mod to know that). Thing is that your post does aim at me whilst you know that I'm not able to reply.

Well yeah, and that's the problem.

If you're a kid in middle school continuously getting picked on, and the bully sees that you're getting wound up over it, they WILL continue with the abuse because it's working. That's partly what happened in this case -- the Muslims here started to act like the victim and showed they couldn't take it.

I'm not trying to promote bullying here even though I probably do it myself, but the best thing to do in this situation is to just ignore the guy. If he has nobody else to bully because his antics don't work anymore, then the problem is solved.

It doesn't matter who pulled the trigger. From what i can see it was a mutual decision of the admins who had the discusion and no-one objected later.
It was like an execution squad, Georgia state style. We all flipped the switch that turned on the light and electrocuted him. We just don't know which of us did it first.

Man. I knew the CIA was ordered to torture terror suspects, but jeez, I didn't know everyone was so hasty and happy about it.
