Maybe because they created the Internet, otherwise you would not have been able to ask this question.
ya but the internet is based on computers, and computers are based on 0's and 1's. And 0's were introduced by Arabs :p

So fuck America :p:p

@ tahir:

hey man maybe you should just start a thread called "Hate on the U.S." there have been more dissenters and haters posting in this thread and i think they have earned a separate entity. at least then those that have something on-topic to talk about can post in here without ppl ranting off-topic. :pumpkin: :D

It would be hard to go through a day without using or coming in contact with something created in the U.S. Anyone who denies that there's nothing appreciative that has come out of this country is a maaajor hypocrite.
Now I know what a fraud I am for believing how much your country has contributed to the world. Whatever little good it has contributed it has certainly been offset by rhetoric, greed, obnoxiousness and unwarranted arrogance in various fields.

Case in point is the fact that not many nationals in other countries will start a thread about how great their country is.

And an englishman designed the first computer without which the creation of the internet would not have taken place.

What is more I don't hear people going on about the fact that the UK created the computer. It is more down to the individual i.e Bell, Marconi etc.
You can open a thread about that :)

Be my guest.

Maybe you shouldn't start a thread at all. Seeing as I mentioned before, not a lot of people from other countries would do it in the first place.

Because of the same logic that allows Americans to use Alphabets although it was started in the Middle East...

Here you go, not only we are appreciating the US in this thread but also the Arabs and previously the Brits as Soldatinho said. Keep up the good work

People are loosing homes all over the planet. If we took all those people and gave them rooms at South of the Border it could bring world peace.
    I hear they have wigwams.

Even though, it is pretty clear that you're talking generally. I asked you one simple question; I'm talking about the right of the Palestinians to return and own their land. So, if you included the Palestinians as being the cause for the bloodshed, intolerance and evil in that world, just allow me to be informed about what your vision is, again, in order not to misunderstand you.
Check. Humor aside for a moment, I think it takes more than one party to perpetuate generations of bloodshed and hatred that exists between two or more parties. There are no innocent parties -- only parties that each believe in their own righteousness. :smoke:

Going back to the subject line of this topic for a moment...

That said, Canadians could come in armed RVs, bearing beaver pelts and bazookas, and declare my home -- something I've paid several generations of property taxes on (it sure feels like it) -- as their new military headquarters for their conquest of the U.S.A. And I'd be pissed as hell. But the paper title to my house would mean sh*t. And while I'd personally try to fight for it back, I don't see that as America reclaiming their land.

Afterall, a bunch of white guys took out a bunch of Spanish-armed Mexicans to own it before that, who stole it from Native Americans before that, who likely stole it from other tribes if not eskimo migrants before that... and before that the hills were likely part of the moving North American tectonic plate along the sea floor where brachiopods owned it before that, and prior to that it was a molten ball of lava... and...

So no. I would not see that as America reclaiming their land.

For all those who think that USA is providing other countries with so much help, look at this:

Then again, no one is saying that the US is providing the other countries with so much help, we are only appreciating stuff about the country.

How many times has the purpose of this thread been explained? I lost count.

Don't get me started on Zionism. I'll have to ban myself. :pumpkin:

For all those who think that USA is providing other countries with so much help, look at this:

I would honestly give two shits about those statistics, but I wouldn't have a clue how to convert my shit into a percentage of 1993 GNP. I measure my shit as percentages of 2005 GDP.

    I hear that! :disagree:

@Rebel: My God that was a poor argument. You know what list shows? There's not a single arab country on it; and please do not tell me that they have no wealth.
