nter had two goals disallowed, but only earned a point against Sampdoria at San Siro thanks to a late own goal. The Blucerchiati can't celebrate too much, as they set a new club record, extending their winless Serie A streak to 15 games.

The Nerazzurri needed a positive performance to wipe away the bitterness of their midweek Champions League defeat at Sporting Lisbon and Adriano paid the price, dropped again in favour of Hernan Crespo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. With Esteban Cambiasso still injured, Mariano Gonzalez made a midfield start.

Sampdoria had Giulio Falcone and Gennaro Del Vecchio suspended after their shock 2-1 home defeat to Empoli and fielded a completely renovated defence. That result equalled their club record of 14 Serie A games without a win.

Marco Materazzi charged down a Francesco Flachi effort, while Dejan Stankovic had penalty appeals rejected for Parola's clumsy challenge. Luca Castellazzi did well to grip Maicon's header to the ground.

The Sampdoria goalkeeper performed a remarkable double save on both Ibrahimovic's right-foot shot into the ground and the Maicon rebound from point-blank range.

The visitors lost Parola to a head injury early on, making way for Franceschini. Flachi almost created an opener for Emiliano Bonazzoli, who was at full stretch in his bid to turn in at the far post.

Castellazzi was on spectacular form and performed another crucial save to keep out Crespo, who latched on to Ibrahimovic's headed assist. Ibra's backheel then sent Mariano Gonazlez running, but the Samp defence scrambled clear.

Sampdoria also had a chance before the break for Bonazzoli, but Flachi put so much effort into keeping his cross in play that he clattered head first into the advertising boards and a photographer behind them.

Even in 10 men the Blucerchiati nearly took the lead in first half stoppages, as they won back the ball and Ruben Olivera volleyed over the bar from a promising position.

The start of the second half was certainly eventful. Within the opening 90 seconds Crespo had deflected a Maicon shot, but not enough to beat Castellazzi, then Ivan Cordoba pushed Flachi for a penalty. The Colombian was already on a booking, so fortunate not to receive a second card. Flachi got back up to convert the spot-kick through the centre and give Sampdoria a shock lead.

Ibrahimovic nodded a Dejan Stankovic free kick over the bar, but Ibra's header from a Gonzalez cross was just past both the far post and a Crespo who came diving in.

The Swede ran rings around Luigi Sala, but chose to drill off target when he could've set up Stankovic. Inter needed reinforcements and introduced Luis Figo for Mariano Gonzalez.

Castellazzi blocked a long-range Javier Zanetti strike, but at the other end Julio Cesar mis-timed his run on a throw-in and Marco Materazzi had to clear the danger from Flachi.

Figo rose above the crowd to head a Stankovic cross from the left, but it was just past the far post.

Cordoba was left with a bloody nose from an accidental Bonazzoli elbow, then Figo wasted a golden opportunity by mis-kicking the ball and getting it tangled up between his legs from eight yards.

Patrick Vieira thought he'd equalised on 70 minutes, but he was judged offside when he smashed Ibrahimovic's cross into the net. The replays suggest it was an extremely tight decision.

Christian Maggio did well to push a cross away moments before it got to the head of Ibrahimovic, then Olivier Dacourt skipped past two players and his strike was deflected over the bar off Sala's back.

In a desperate bid to earn at least a point from this game, Roberto Mancini introduced Adriano for Stankovic, playing a 4-2-3-1 system with Crespo the centre-forward.

Zanetti had another good opportunity, but when Inter finally did equalise, it was thanks to a comical own goal. Figo's corner kick went past Castellazzi and ricocheted into the net off Massimo Bonanni's head.

Sampdoria have terrible memories of San Siro, where they were winning 2-0 at the 90th minute only to lose 3-2 in an extraordinary encounter. Adriano did hit the back of the net soon after with a header, but it was disallowed for a push on the defender.

Maicon drilled well over from the edge of the area, but Samp also threatened with a long-range Franceschini effort. Ibrahimovic tried to score from an impossible angle deep into stoppages, but it ended with a share of the points and yet more criticism for Mancini's Nerazzurri all-stars.

It was about time :p

Nothing new under the sun. A Sampdoria own goal saved them a point. Inter will never win Lo Scudetto the next 50 or 100 years.

Sampdoria played well during periods of the match. Same could be said about Inter. But a below par performance for Inter led to a crucial loss of points which Roma and Milan will punish tomorrow.

No thats too much trouble and work the solution for inter its to go to the Argentina league, moratti once said they will go to another league well maybe they should no one will miss them here and besides they have more argentina or brazilian players than all italians in their squad so it wont make such a big diference

Lucky for Inter they can continue to act like themselves and not have to worry about their biggest competition, who r in the minus's. Its amazing how Inter have bennefitted the most from calciogate.

Other than a good cross along the mouth of the goal, Zlatan was in classic "wide left, wide right" form. As often happened on Juve, Zlatan got the ball moving around a lot but was plagued by a lack of final finishing. Some things never change.

And Vieira's goal disallowed for rightfully being offsides? Classic.

Man, that was fun to watch. Even if it was an own-goal that gave Inter a point out of this match. Cordoba was an idiot, as he often is, but rightfully got caught this time for the Flacchi PK. That second half was Inter just pouring it on and Samp just defending everything...

Another season...another year, another 8 new players. Same shit with Inter. They lose and the staff blames the refs. I thought relegating Juve would've solved their problems. Ban me, kick me, whatever...I don't care. I'M PISSED!! I love the excuse: "we had so many opportunities but couldn't score".

I'm a Juve fan and am deeply angered by this bullshit that is going on!!!! Mancini, Juve aren't in Serie A this year and you're still gonna blame the refs?!?!!? You PIECE OF $HIT YOUR TEAM WILL FOReVER SUCK!! Milan will win tomorrow and only put themselves closer to Inter, along with Fiore and Roma. Between Rossi's antics and this whining bitch, nothing benefited from Juve being relegated!! WHICH MEANS JUVE HAVE DONE NOTHING EXCEPT MAKE PHONE CALLS!!! The same ref mistakes and all!!! Nothing has changed!!
