    So, Metzelder is on verge to sign a contract with Real Madrid and Lampard seems to be an unrealistic target, and this may completely ruin my entire view for the next season's squad. Therefore, I chose another two players to replace Metzelder and Lampard, they're Dario Dainelli of Fiorentina and Gilberto Silva of Arsenal respectively. :cool2:

    By the way, you can check my whole vision for the upcoming season squad in the opening post of that thread, if you're interested. :wink:

    we should be careful when we start buying next season, DD and the management should have a plan before doing that and shouldn't just buy players for the sake of it or because they are a bargain.

    A clear plan should be set out for next and the years to come on which players from this squad are we keeping/staying then we could start buying replacements or backups.

    Having too much choices is not always a good thing imo.

    Next season(if the same squad stays the same and considering the players we just purchased) we will have three right backs and three right wingers. And about 4 CB without counting chiellini.
    In the case of the CBs i think if we r getting another one then either kovac or legro will need to be sold.
    In the case of the wingers i think its the same, we dont need camo,marchionni and salihamdzic.

    Kovac and Boumsong are staying a new CB will join along Criscito,
    Legro and Tudor are leaving, if we dont have the money to buy Barzagli we will find an experienced free player...

    You mean we dont need any new wingers as long as we have Camo,Neddy,Marchio and Salih?
    You are right we dont need any, but if Camo leaves?
    then there is more space for a Capo like player...

    since we already have Grygera for RB nd Commoranesi so desperate to leave how abt Dani Alves for RM. :eyebrows:
    i feel Quaresma is worth splashing the money on:agree: (please dont say its unrealistic). we need some1 new to lead the charge, for me this guy has a lot of ambition nd he can drive us on.
    a gr8 CB is very essential nd very hard to find. I cant name any realistic target but i definately dont like the ones being discussed. even barzagli aint gud enof for me, may be he will be better(or look better) when he comes to Juve nd play around other gr8 defenders nd infront of Buffon.

    If I were him,

    1. I would sell Tudor, Zebina, Legrottaglie, Piccolo, Boumsong and Bojinov.
    2. I would bring back Zambrotta and Cannavaro, Maresca and Tacchinardi.
    3. I would buy Barzagli, Diarra, Gerrard and Toni.

    and If I were Secco. I will consult with Moggi about transfer market.

    This would cost us more than 80 milion euros.

    :agree:

    I guess Moggi's son has that Agency, so I guess won't be a prob to get in touch with Moggi unnoticiably:)

    He is da GURU :))) What a man got kicked out of football world!

    Oh I guess we now look pretty easy about the scandal, but everytime I think about the PROSPECTS we had that time (rich, great team, Scudetto Badge on shirt etc.) I wanna CRY:( :( :sick:

    I guess we need couple VERY FAST and VERY STRONG players, one in defence (Like Thuram) and one in the middle to playe the role of DAVIDS (vieira etc.);

    Otherwise It seems to be fine squad; It'll be competetive;

    Much more realistic. Where did we hear of 100M?
    100 million EURO will be/was invested, but not all of the money will go into transfers, I read today that only 45/50 will be the sum to invest into new players and I think that is pretty reasonable and we could strengthen the club pretty well if we operate smart and everything goes by plan. What you think ? Please dicsuss.

    50 Mil sounds like enough to buy some quality players. We just need to buy smart. I am not sure on the cost of the players, but I think that everyone is on the same page as far as needs go. I would sign players in the following order of importance:

    CB
    DM
    SM
    CB
    DM
    CF

    I think we need to pick up the players out there that are for free. Ljunberg (SM), Pizarro (CF), and Dainelli (CB). Gilberto is going for about 2M. Then we can afford to spend 48M on CB, DM, and something else. That is pretty decent.

    The two things we have to constantly bear in mind are that any player signed for next season can't really be a short-term solution, he must be part of a longer term project, with the aim laid out yesterday of being in position to dominate both domestically & in European competition. Secondly, they must make us better, while not giving too many options next season as we still will not have European football. We do need, IMO, the following positions covered for next term;

    one - maybe two - central defenders
    one starting full back
    one world class holding midfield player
    the on form, commited Trez & Camo, or like for like replacements

    Obviously its vital that we secure a return to CL football next term & then continue building our squad, adding more players & replacing others as they get older or wish to leave the project. If you want me to put names to positions, I'd like our squad for next season to look like this;

    P. Buffon, Mirante

    D. Grygera, Balza, Biri, Chiellini, Zambro, Kovac, Criscito, Barzagli, Dainelli
    CC. Camo/Quaresma, Marchionnni. Zanetti, Paro, Marchisco, Sissoko or Gilberto, Nedved, Salihamozic

    A. Ale, Bojinov, Palladino, Trezeguet/Toni, Zalayeta

    I just wish we had Moggi to sort these deals for us, he could probably get the players I've named for Zebina, Tudor, Legro, a packet a tropical fruit bubbleicious & some skittles.........

    There is something you didn't notice, mate. We're not going to pay a player's full transfer fee in just one season. For example, Ribery would cost us £15m, that fee would be paid like this; the 1st £5m in 2007, the 2nd £5m in 2008 and finally the last £5m in 2009.

    no thanks
    that's how clubs get into debts(by paying a portion of the fee yearly)
