On song Drogba powers past toothless Liverpool.

The Ivory coast international proved his critics wrong once again with a top notch display against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea faced a resilent Liverpool who tried to defend deep and kill the enemy on the counter but where overwhelmed by the host's attacking force.

As soon as the 13th minute Drogba found the ball on the edge of the area and dribbled past a clueless liverpool defense and slotted the ball in the bottom corner past Pepe Reina.

3 minutes later the same Drogba fighted for the ball in the edge of the area and set a sublime cross for Michael Essien who scored with his head.

Chelsea got most of the ball during the match but didn't seem particularly fluid with a lot of misplaced passes and a couple of scares. Liverpool would manage to get to Chelsea's box and force an easy save from Cech, there was some confusion on the Chelsea backline but the hosts managed to clear out the danger.

On the 25th Minute Drogba manage to end up a swift counterattack by Chelsea by dribbling past a defender and scoring once again against a hopeless Reina.

First half ended 3-0, Chelsea brought in Torres in the 2nd half and brought off Sturridge who had a not so impressive first half.

Drogba got his hat trick on the 61' minute again dribbling past a defender and putting a shot in the top half corner.

There's some solace for Liverpool fans though, as ex liverpool player Fernando Torres went on to have an awful match and miss a couple sitters.

The result leaves Chelsea at the top of the bottom tied with Manchester City meanwhile Liverpool is last tied with Porto.
