We cant say that we didn't see it coming. Management and DD seemed to be on different wavelengths all season regarding his future. Whereas Blanc and Gigli were stating that DD would be on the Juve bench next season, DD always would respond by saying he isn't looking that far ahead.

I wasnt exactly in the favour of a former coach's return, but no matter what i say, saying no to Lippi is extremley hard.If Deschamps has infact been sacked, then bring back Lippi!!!!

Juve President 'surprised'

Saturday 26 May, 2007

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli is “surprised” by Didier Deschamps’ decision to resign.

Late last night Sky TG24 announced that the tactician had quit, but although the club today denied any official resignation, all comments suggest their relationship is at an end.

“Deschamps will meet with director Jean Claude Blanc later this evening and they will clarify this problem,” said the President.

The former Bianconeri midfielder left the Stadio Olimpico after the 2-0 win over Mantova without entering the Press room, although Sky Italia journalists maintain he told them off camera that he had indeed resigned.

“There are strong stories circulating that he wants to hand in his resignation. We were honestly surprised, as the last we knew in his Press conference this week he said he wanted to stay with Juventus.”

The reason for this sudden turnaround could well lie with Lyon, as Gerard Houllier stepped down on Friday and Deschamps has long been one of the favourites to take over.

“We are discussing extending his contract, because Deschamps was meant to be an integral part of our three-year plan.”

While the Spanish media claimed that Fabio Capello would be returning to the Juve bench, that seems highly unlikely considering Cobolli Gigli’s damning statements in the past criticising the way he walked out following the Calciopoli scandal.

“Capello back here? I think that would be very difficult,” said the President.

Marcello Lippi is instead the hot favourite to lead Juve back into Serie A.

I'm getting waste tonight, in DD's honor. Who's with me? :D
I have a better idea.. Let's all Juventini go on famous public places, and pretend that we will make suicide, and take galon of water (and saying it is fuel) and threat them to make the suicide unless they appoint Didier back. :D

It's a huge mistake to let DD go & I hope we don't get Lippi.
so you want juve to be unseccessful? would you preffer Crap..? I mean they did already a mistake by not respecting DD, getting another coach than lippi would make things even worse..

E' successo tutto troppo velocemente''
Briefly, Nedved says he doesn't believe DD is leaving ebcause he didn't tell the players.

I think there will be a huge impact on him if DD leaves.

Since DD is no more we need a coach that knows the game. We don't need someone with a fresh approach. Just someone that knows the club and knows how to get results.

What guarantees you success with Lippi? Did you ever watch Juve when Lippi was about to go to Inter? I think getting a coach like Prandelli who has done a wonderful job in Chievo will be more future proof than getting Lippi. The last thing we need right now is a stopgap measure.
