sticking to the tradition of british Bonds(that means no Vin Diesal or ben affleck or crowe) here are some of the nominees

Hugh Grant, 42
the pros
1. his brilliant, lounge lizzard turns in Bridget Jone's Diary amd About a boy proved that he's just about enough of a astard to play James Bond
2. He's got arguably the best english accent...
3. Grant will bring back the self-mockery that's been missing since roger moore played the role. The best bonds, Connery and Moore, never took themselves seriously...
the cons
1. the girly fight scene in Bridget Jones Diary with Colin Firth may have destroyed his manly-man credentials...
2. In all the movies he;s been in, he's always the guy who got his arse kicked rather than taking charge and kickin doing the kicking...
3. he's already 42, how many Bond movies has he got in him?

    next on the list

    Clive Owen, aged 37
    the pros
    1. $ex oozes out of his every pore and he wook look incredible in a suit. Yjere's also a believeble air of menace about him that makes Brosnan look about as dangerous as a hand puppet in comparison
    2. He's not a humonguos star so chances are he'll work for cheap. Before Brosnan confirmed that he'll do a fifth film, the internet was buzzing with rumours that Owen was the producer's next choice.
    3. He's got the best voice of the lot. the phrase "Bond, James Bond" will finally sound glorious again.
    the cons
    1. he's relatively unknown outside britain...

    next is...

    Jude Law, 30
    the pros
    1. probably the most handsome of the nominees(im not gay ;)). It would be wholly believable to have all those womaen falling into Jame's bed..
    2. With an oscar nomination already under his belt for his role in tThe Talented Mr. Ripley, Law has the acting chops to take Bond into different territory - sexily cerebral perhaps?
    the cons
    1. he looks abit too yound to be a worldy uber-spy
    2. Law's body type leans heavily towards the wiry side. Can this beauty boy throw a punch?

    Jason Statham, 36
    the pros
    1. As he recently demonstrated in The Transporter, Statham's got the moves and he knows how to handle a gun. If everyone in the group had to fight each other for the role, he'd thrash everybody without wrinkling his tux...
    2. Statham, who was a street hustler before becoming an actor, would bring a streetwise edge to Bond that would be in keeping with the character's origins as an orphan.
    the cons
    1. the accent's all wrong. he sounds like Michael Caine after too many pints at the bar...
    2. Although he wears clothes well, he's too muscular, too physical obvios. Bond has to look like a well honed machine, not a thug...

    next is..

    Ewan McGregor, 31
    the pros
    1. He would infuse the role with a cheeky energy and he would have a great onscreen chemistry with John Cleese, who plays a gagdet wizard Q...
    2. It's high time that the role returned to a Scotsman, although backing for McGregor has reportedly come not from Connery, but Roger Moore...
    the cons
    1. Again, McGregor's youth works against him, his recent foray into ObiWanhood notwithstanding...
    2. Film fans may not be able to forget that infamous sceen of him crawling our of ta filthty toilet in Trainspotting. You dont want to be thinking of that while he's playing Bond and charming all the ladies...
    3. Can he hold his own against the baddies without his light saber? (he's not that physical looking)

Yes DJ, he is the most handsome for sure.
He is beautiful enough to be Bond, but I think a bit too young. And he is also sooo cute that I can't imagine him in this role. Or maybe he never played this type of roles to compare him - how he would be as Bond.

    Mr.

    David Beckham, 27
    the pros
    1. He's already one of the most famous faces in the planet. What could be more cooler than bringing football and sydom together? (michael owen's better looking but is way to short...)
    2. Beckham would bring a natural athleticism to the role, unlike Brosnan, who looks vaguely effeminate when he runs....
    the cons
    1. what's he goin to do, kick the baddies to death? and can he act?
    2. He's more ibsessed with his hair than most woman are :D
    3. His Minnie Mouse voice...:D
    4. He might insis on having his wife Posh Spice cast in the movie with him. And what unfortunate name would they inflict on the child they would inevitably conceive while they're on location? "Monaco"? :D

One of my favs actors, and from all you've mentioned the only one so far who could be new Bond. But hard to imagine him as Bond as well.

I think body is not everything in Bond's case. I mean muscle - there is sth like bodybuilding at last.
A guy must fit to this role - that's all.
