would play upfront:

---Camo--Trez--Iaquinta

but Camo could asl oplay instead of Tiago. The good thing is we have versatile players here and since we are going to be competing on 3 fronts a good depth squad is neccessary

------Zanetti----
Tiago---Lampard---

Camo(Gio)--Trez-Iaquinta

with Marchisio--Nocerino---Giovinco--Palladin and Ale giving us depth and quality on the bench.

or we could go like this

Camo----Zanetti----Tiago

---------Lampard(Gio)------

-------Trez----Iaquinta

yeah, that would work.

-------Zanetti-------

----Tiago---Lamps---

--Camo-----Iaquinta--
------Trezeguet------
looks great but is too lightweight, zanetti would get overrun in there and we would need phenominal full-backs as they would be getting murdered down the channels. sorry but for me if you are gonna play 4-3-3 then you need 2 defensive mided midfielders in there with one playmaker

so Lion's formation sucks is what you're saying? :D
nah just that i wish we played it when pinchface was in charge

vieira emerson
nedved

camo delpie
trez

now that is a formation that i would have loved to see, has a lot better balance, i just cant see fat frank in a 3-man midfield, he is too much of a commodity

don't be sad Lion. That formation could work against some clubs.

I'm sure our coach will find some space for Marchisio and Nocerino also so we have the cover for an attacking-mind mid.

no worries, I actually disagree with Bozi. I think Zanetti could handle the pressure if not then insert Nocerino for more protection of the defense instead of Tiago.

And Lampard is not a commodity in a 3 man midfield. Far from it actually imo.

enlgand have stuggled continually simply because they cannot find a formation to suit fat frank. gerrard is continually sacrificed out wide because they realise that you need to have a good anchor (makelele) in there to cover franks bombs forward. ina 4-3-3 with only 1 DM zanetti would be simply overrun by the opposition, who would use the flanks to draw out the full-backs and get in behind us. frank can be used with a Dm in a 4-4-2, but in a 4-3-3 we would need double the cover or our midfield would get murdered

You can't bring England into the argument because the English NT is cursed and quite frankly you can't judge the players based on their national form for England since they most of them tend to play (mostly ) poor.

but the thing is with Camo And Iaquinta in the team it could work. Camo back tracks and helps the midfield alot. and Iaquinta is physically very strong and has shown the he can hustle for the ball from the defenders of the opposition. It's not very hard to tell him to track back and close down wingers or full backs because he is capable, especially with his pace and stamina. Tactically you would do this:

againt teams with weak defenses you want to pressure them so you play with Iaquinta and Camo out wide next to Trez. When you are playing against more organized teams with strong wide players and good counter attacks you tell Camo
and Iaquinta to drop back and help the midfield more often.

i see what you are getting at but trust me at the top level this would be suicide, sure against the smaller teams it could rack us up a nice goals tally but it wont cut-it at eth top leverl.

and the england arguement does sit as it shows the trouble a team full of top-class players has struggled to accomodate lampard continually
