so what does everyone think about the new A1 sport will it be better than F1? if people havent heard of it, its about

12 racing teams representing different countries racing vs each other in INDENTICAL CARS.

its had a big press release over here in the uk and i saw the qual and it look decent. i have always been a massive follower of F1 but have been disappionted with the massive rules changes eg qualifying and the lack of overtaking with the slipstream of the cars, same tyres for the whole weekend etc.....

i dont think it will ever be as big as F1 but im really looking foward to see the first race today.

I don't think it will be better than F1. That identical car thing is something like Nascar. I think taht Europen people will not be too much interested in that.

For me all other car races looks very slow compared to F1, there is no dynamic in it, so it's also for my friends and I belive a lot more ppl

And couldn't they get any more original name than A1?

Nope. The very point of F1 is that every team developes it's own car. F1 has always been a breeding ground for new technologies and I doubt A1 will come even close. besides, the best drivers are in F1.

Dont really see how anyone would think this to be a rival to F1....

Its more on par with F3 and F3000.... (Probably will be a better option for up and coming racers than those series )... A good stepping stone to F1... A great way to get noticed and an opportunity for drivers to represent their countries....
