Reports claim Juve have offered €15 million for Cassano, while they could throw in Adrian Mutu or Fabrizio Miccoli as a makeweight in the deal.
Why would you want to give away Adrian Mutu, when Dp has already suggested that hes not going to play second fiddle to anybody or sit on the bench. If we give away Mutu, and bring Cassano, Zala will be sold to raise cash for the deal, while Dp will leave anyway, for the lack of playing time. That would leave us wanting at least another forward after Cassano, Ibra and Trez. Doesnt seem logical to me to add a makeweight to a 15m deal. It should be an all cash situation.

i wud want to give away adrian mutu to bring in a player who is infinetley more talented than that fat drughead.i dont think that del piero wud be sold.he might be used in the midfield.
and not BOTH zalayeta and mutu wud be sold.only ONE of them wud be sold..so that means if we sell del piero(which i dont belive wil happen)..we will still have 4 forwards..cassano,trez,ibra and zalayeta.
either way.. i think juve will have a 3 man attack next season.

---------trez------
--cassano---ibra----

add zalayeta on the bench.
this wud be a beyond great attack.
the mere presence of firebrands like cassano and ibra might scare the opposition.

Baggio if Miccoli is used as a makeweight then we would still have Mutu + the others so problem solved. That's why I hope we use Miccoli and no other player for the exchange.

i still do not think that we are signing Cassano, its just too obvious!!When have Juve ever bought a player after saying that they are trying to sign them? The only one i can think of is Emerson, and that only became public because of his desire to leave for only Juventus and Roma not letting him.

But if he does come, i would be a happy boy (even though Gilardino is the dream)

U r right my friend, we cant judge if Cassano is much more talented then Gila,
but IMO we need more Gila than Cassano,
he is the finisher,
the scorer, the big gun,
the most expensive youngster,
a player everybody wants,
we choose Cassano because Gila is someone else's choice,
i really hope future will proove u right.
Cronios, we dont need Gila as long as TREZEGUET is here! so plzz tell moggi to sell Trez and get Gila, and i would be even more happy then u would, if Gilardino joins us..! :)

Yea, but to free up the other half of Miccoli's deal, we may have to send Mutu the other way (on loan hopefully) but it still ends up being a sort of 'musical chairs' situation.

Moggi has made an appointment with Rosella Sensi, the upcoming tuesday. Cassano will be their topic of discussion, Spalleti will not object against Cassano's departure.

Juve close in on Cassano Monday 20 June, 2005

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roma starlet Antonio Cassano could complete his move to Juventus by the end of this week.

The attacking talent has been heavily tipped to make the switch and there could be some significant developments over the next few days.

Giallorossi officials will reportedly meet with Giuseppe Bozzo, Cassano’s agent, on Tuesday where they will confirm their readiness to sell the player.

Juventus transfer chief Luciano Moggi will then meet with Roma’s Rosella Sensi later in the week to make a formal offer.

The Bianconeri are expected to bid £10m and Adrian Mutu for Cassano , whose contract in the capital expires in 2006.

Cassano is thought to be keen to team up again with former Roma boss Fabio Capello at the Stadio Delle Alpi.

That has made him unpopular with some sections of the Roma faithful who openly despise the Turin giants.

Cassano was even heckled by a small group of supporters as he attended the wedding of Francesco Totti on Sunday.

Other whispers suggest that the former Bari player will definitely complete his transfer to the Old Lady by June 30.

Funny, the Cassano news is out but the Mozart news is still not out yet.
