legro :D appiah (cm0304) :D
Don't blame CM or FM. Legro was one of the best CBs in Serie A the year before we bought him and Appiah was an extremely promising talent. They were key players for Chievo and Brescia respectively, unfortunately neither of them seem to be able to adapt to the pressures of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Emerson urges Cassano to choose Juventus over Real Madrid
tribalfootball.com - March 17, 2005

Juventus star Emerson has been urging former AS Roma teammate Antonio Cassano to join him in Turin next season.

The Brazilian has reportedly been discussing Cassano's options with the young striker as Juve battle Real Madrid for his services.

With so much doubt over the future of Roma following this week's sacking of coach Gigi del Neri, it appears Cassano is closer to the exit door.

No progress has been made over the player's new contract and with his current deal expiring in 2006, this summer's transfer market will be the last opportunity Roma have to cash in.

Tuttosport yesterday detailed a telephone conversation Emerson had with Cassano recently, in which the Juve star said: "Antonio, you must think very hard about the decision you're going to make.

"If you go to Madrid, you will be the sixth striker they have. There can be no guarantees that you will be played often.

"But if you came to Juve, you will have respect and recognition."

what number is mutu? I prefer Cassano 18 too, 7 isn't a good number for him. 10 would be ok too.
#30 if wad Mutu is wearing.

A #10 wouldn't be appropriate as well, I say let Cassano mature 1st, until he behaves and talk to the referees calmly, then I will give him the #10.

Kaka makes Cassano call Friday 18 March, 2005

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan midfielder Kaka has invited Antonio Cassano to leave Roma for the San Siro in the summer.

The Brazilian is a massive fan of the forward, who looks increasingly likely to leave the Giallorossi at the end of the season.

"Cassano is a player who I like," stated the 22-year-old fantasista. "He is a champion whose touches and genius excite me.

"It would be magnificent to play alongside him. We would form a perfect partnership, one that is technically in synch and unpredictable.

"Antonio really is an excellent footballer who is destined to keep on improving given his young age."

The former Bari youngster, whose contract at the Olimpico expires in 2006, isn’t believed to be a Milan target though.

The Azzurri ace, who was superb at Euro 2004, is more likely to join either Juventus or Real Madrid,

Juventus have also been heavily linked with another Roma player in the form of Cristian Chivu.

Reports over the past month have suggested that he could also leave the capital, but the Romanian has today denied that claim.

"I feel as if I owe this club a lot. For that reason I only see them in my future," said the defender.

Chivu, contracted to Roma until June 2008, is also being watched by Milan, Inter and Real Madrid.

Cassano-Roma: After The Love Is Gone...There Is Juve

Antonio Cassano is probably living his last days as an AS Roma player.
The Roma fans are extremely irritated by his poor performances of the last months, especially the one the starlet produced against Fiorentina, that saw Cassano come on as a sub late in the game.

In his few minutes on the pitch the Bari-born player was able to miss every pass and fail every dribbling attempt, a horrible performance capped off by the poor penalty he took that almost cost Roma their last seasonal objective.

Some Roma fans went as far as saying their former idol practically missed the penalty on propose, an action they say is backed by the fact he was the only player to not celebrate the team’s dramatic win in Florence.

“The only reason I didn’t celebrate with the rest of my team-mates was because I missed the penalty. I was mad with myself,” Cassano said in his defense.

These words will only partially satisfy those many Roma fans who believe Cassano has already sold his soul to Juventus, as on the day before the early March match against the Bianconeri he made an interview in which he stated he ‘greatly missed Fabio Capello.’

Now that there is both the popular will to let him go and the player’s desire to leave, there is only the financial aspect to be resolved before Cassano can complete his move to the black and white Turin side.
