I also wasn't convinced of the fit, but he's taken it personally, great performances. Just shows how regular season isn't really that important. Agree with what Steve Kerr said, playoffs are all about health and seeing who hits a groove.
I think if you're a big man who can shoot and get into it you can stack up the points in the modern game. He can do a bit of everything but this is peak career for him.
