Lol. Cavs are in trouble. Spida maybe missing out, and getting a sense of deja-vu.

I'm shitting bricks a bit for the draft lottery. I've accepted #5 and Tre Johnson or VJ Edgecombe, anything else will be a bonus from here. The lottery has not once been friendly to the Jazz, and I'm full on board with the conspiracy theories (lmao) and expect either Spurs or a big market team like Brooklyn to get top 2, either that or Dallas help for Luka!

Oh wow. I. Am. So. Surprised. Tell me this shit isn't rigged.

Listening to some stats, the odds for the top 3 being DAL, SAN, PHI was 0.014%.

Jazz needed the #1 ball to show to move up, in the 16 draws (none of which we're allowed to see, for some reason) they didn't draw the #1 ball once. Odds of that are 0.15%.

The league opens itself up for all sorts of conspiracy theories and criticism, because it all looks so suspect.

Isn't great for the league sending the best two picks to the West when it's stacked. Having Spurs move up every year and be able to assemble a super team. I suspect the league wants super teams and big market fans happy, ok.

Probabilities of specific combos are never high. But I completely understand where conspiracy theorists are coming from. Mavs getting the #1 pick is not different than Hawks getting it last year, but Spurs being in top 4 3 years in a row is either very lucky or suspicious.

1, 2 and 3 at 5, 6 and 7 is another very unlikely one. So much "luck" is needed for this to happen.

We've seen it before where a team has lost a star and got the #1 the following lottery - Cavs with Lebron, NO with AD. The Luka one is now the most absurd. You don't think it's odd how I perfectly predicted the draft hours before it? It's not a coincidence.

Love the Jazz but hate the NBA and that bald lizard. These things define franchises for 15-20 years, and the only way the Jazz, Hornets, Wizards and the other small teams can hope to win a title is to draft a superstar when they are available, which happens rarely. Or you need some perfect and superb planning or a run of luck, like everything flawless. Certain other teams wing it and things tend to fall into place. So these small teams have to tank, but the league seems to actively prevent tanking being rewarded, so the regular bigger teams win most years unless a unicorn like Jokic or Giannis falls to you mid lotto.

The league only has to manufacture it a bit when the stars are available. No one cared about last year when the likes of Sarr and Risacher were top picks. Next year will be another interesting one with 3 or 4 potential superstars. I imagine the Jazz will be bad and tank a bit, but again, I would expect them to fall. If something happens over and over again it stops becoming a coincidence. Maybe if we trade Kessler to the Lakers for a bag of chips and Lauri to GSW for a Tim Tam the balls will magically bounce better.
