There are just too many games in the NBA. You can't compare sports when one has 82 regular season games and the other 16 (ok I just learned it is now 17 games). NFL teams also have 400 players, in the NBA you have 15 players per team, only 8-12 play each game, and 2 or 3 at most are key players, so you have a few guys earning a lot of money. Financially the league is clearly doing well enough to be able to keep paying these stupid salaries but I think it's definitely the easiest gig compared to other sports.

Teams like the Lakers know they can coast through the season, squeeze into the playoffs, and if it all comes together they have a chance of winning the whole thing.

Then you have the tanking teams, which is just a joke, but a necessary evil because of the format. Until someone comes up with something better it is what it is. The nature of American sports means the focus is on the end of season.

I don't think you can really be criticising Lebron either, and I'm hardly a huge fan. He is 40 years old now so is obviously going to have to manage games.

If he knew he wasn't going to play the ASG, he should've come out and stated that earlier. He didn't need to wait 3-4 hours before the game was scheduled to tip off to make that decision. That's why it's really hard to like him - he always tries to make everything about him. He's a Diva!

No. Fuck No.

But of course that bald awkward alien looking mofo will ensure at least one of those two Faggy franchises makes it to the Finals.

Fuck the big market teams - I'm all for a small market Finals.

OKC and the CAVS have been, by far, the two best teams this entire season. They play the best basketball and are actually enjoyable to watch.

Do the Lakers have a real outside shot at contending already this year? Haven’t watched them much, but they’ve been on a hot streak for a while now and Luka was cold for most of it, now that he’s settling in, in theory their ceiling is pretty high

Yeah, Luka and LeBron is a crazy good duo to have, they can beat any team when they’re hot.

Any Mavericks fan on this forum? I feel for you.

And I'm a Kyrie fan:sad:
I was on the Mavs bandwagon because of Luka and they grew on me, especially Kyrie. The last few weeks were worse than anything anyone could imagine, I was just reading about keeping AD off the court until the end of the season which I guess makes sense but would probably kill the last bit of desire to watch Mavs lol.

And of course Doncic couldn’t go anywhere but the Lakers :wallbang:

:yuck: :inter:

Kendrick "The Retard" Perkins. Someone needs to give that man an inhaler. His breathing is shallower than his brain.

With all the Lakers Glazing going on @ ESPN, they should have their own donut shop.

While the Lakers are definitely not one of the top 3-4 teams in the league… the LeBron-Luka duo is incredibly entertaining to watch play. If you can’t see that, you’re just a Skip Bayless wannabe, bro. :p

I love Luka, and the Geezer is having a renaissance. I get it. Lakers fans are excited, and perennial Laker cum guzzlers like Shannon Sharpe, Kendrick "The Retard" Perkins, and The Ultimate Laker Fag Josiah are psyched. I don't need to hear about it. They've been good for the past 3 weeks; other teams have been good for 6 months.
