Suns have
KD
Booker
Paul
Ayton
And a bunch of end of the bench guys. Payne might be their most playable "other", and guys like Okogie, Shamet, Craig I think get DNPs or few minutes a game in other remaining teams.
So i guess they gotta find 2-3 great signings for the minimum salary, guys that can give you 15-20 strong playoff minutes. And then trade Ayton, to maximize their chances in the KD window. If his value is low they are doomed. But if they can get 2 good players, they can make something.
Then there is Paul who looks finished. His 23-24 salary is partially guaranteed at 15M, and his 24-25 salary is not guaranteed. I guess they have no choice but to guarantee atleast his first year, and if it doesn't work out he's basically a 30M expiring at the deadline (if a team won't guarantee his 2nd year). So that could have some value.
It looks like a difficult situation at the moment, but they can retool quickly with trades for Ayton and Paul, and be back for another trashing in the next playoffs
