Kareem is 100% the second greatest player of all time.

Of course Jokic is a better passer so he’s a more well-rounded/complete offensive player. But being a more well-rounded/complete offensive player doesn’t make him anywhere near the dominant, unstoppable force Kareem was. Nor prime Shaq for that matter.
Well you didn't answer what I asked. But I'll do it, Kareem is a better post player than Jokic, although Jokic isn't far behind, throw him the ball inside and he'll create a good look either for himself or for a teammate. But outside of the post, you can't compare them. Jokic has more range, he can handle the ball better, he sees the floor better and can pass better. And him just taking the center out creates space without him even doing anything. But I'm talking talent only, Kareem ofcourse has the advantage athletically and can put up shots based on his length and quickness, whereas Jokic has to work harder/smarter. But put Jokic on any semi decent NBA team, he's gonna make them a top offense. Defensively it's no contest in Kareem's favor, Jokic doesn't have the length or mobility to be elite there.

Prime Shaq played bullyball but he was great at it, I'll give him that. still, for him even more so than with Kareem, the same applies.

You say Kareem is 2nd all time, but he was the 2nd best player on his own team for majority of the 80s. Some of his MVPs were even undeserved imo. He was amazing but I can't have him that high

Playoffs all time:
Jokic 26.4ppg (15th all time)
Kareem 24.3ppg
Shaq 24.3ppg
Embiid 23.8ppg
Wilt 22.5ppg
Duncan 20.6ppg
Arguably others, below 25.9ppg which is Hakeem

Only one above Jokic who's a center (actually a PF but a center nowadays) is Davis at 26.7ppg. Davis is also the only one with a higher TS% than Jokic, who is 11th all time in playoff TS%. You wanna say he's not much of a scorer because of his "low" regular season ppg career average, which is unfair considering the guy was a 2nd round pick (40something?) and it took him 3 seasons to develop and become an all star. Now if you wanna talk playmaking abilities, the others aren't even in the same ballpark compared to Jokic
It's easier to score points now - faster pace and advent of 3 point scoring. It's actually more difficult for the bigs to keep up with scoring unless they can shoot 3's like Jokic and Embiid. Before it was 7ft+ outliers (mostly Euro players tought that way) like Dirk, Sabonis or Bargnani who could do it. So you'll see these guys in future dominate the ppg or 50+ points lists.

that’s a small sample size. By that metric, Jamal Murray is probably the GOAT

Because he's 24th on the list? Jokic has years ahead of him on this level or higher, bigger sample size won't hurt him

My point with the list was to show that Jokic isn't "not much of a scorer" but that he's actually elite. Embiid who plays in this era and is a better scorer is below him too

Grizzlies talking a lot without getting the job done. Now they getting destroyed. AD is a different kind of animal :oops2:
They talking all that smack about how great DPOY JJJ is. AD has them shooting 30% from the field and afraid to even go in the paint. Meanwhile Lakers with 100 through 3 and outscoring them 46-18 in the paint. JJJ looking like a kitten. Playoff AD is the best defender in the league.

Also, let’s take a second to laugh at T-Wolves and GSW fans who told us D’Lo sucks in the playoffs when games matter. 31 pts on 12-17 shooting tonight, 5-9 from 3.

Still 9 minutes left and Grizz took all their starters off the floor :lol2:

Dillon Brooks and his calling Lebron old and washed, and that he doesn’t respect him because he hasn’t dropped 40 on him.

Ja saying he wasn’t worried about anyone in the West.

Bane guaranteeing a win tonight.

Another @Bianconero81 meltdown incoming. Old man tantrum gonna have another aneurysm over this result. :lol3:

Laker fans, who you think would be the easier opponent for you next round, warriors or kings?
Full strength Warriors probably the harder team to beat… especially given that they were the 2nd best 3 pt shooting team in the league this year (SAC was 13th)…. but De’Aaron Fox is a beast and has dominated 4th quarters all year. Lakers should feast in the paint against both teams, but will have to be more consistent shooting the ball to beat either of these teams.

Bron hasn't dropped 40 maybe, but they sent home with +40 is better.

Remember AD wasn't even on the shortlist for DPOY, the difference when he's on the court is night and day, was so in the RS too

DLo came out with the buckets from the opening tip, he set the tone early offensively. He's had a couple annoying turnovers when the score was still close but that's easily overlooked when he shoots like this.

But the whole team was balling, Memphis looked like a NCAA team or something

We beat the Warriors this season few times I think and lost to Sacramento, but playoffs are different. Steph is always better avoided, so slight preference to Sacramento. I think we have the tools to beat either team but I'd say they are the favorites with home court advantage
