Btw what's this I'm hearing about a potential Sengun trade?
It's basically some "insiders" spreading rumors, with their main argument being Sengun and JG don't complement each other and the latter showed a higher ceiling during the team's winning streak in March and should be the one to build the team around. Udoka has denied it saying that neither JG's struggling earlier or his resurgence lately has anything to do with Sengun. imo it's just usual journo guesswork.

It is insane but Gobert was pretty crap and Wolves mediocre last season. For example Gobert had 2.7 BPG in 20-21 and only 1.4 in 22-23, it's almost the same thing.

But Wemby as a rookie is catching a lot of pretty dumb players out with his insane length and smarts. He'll get better at blocking but players will also not even try or switch up some of these shots in future seasons. No one has seen a player like this so they need to adapt.

Did you see his stat line last game? 33 pts, 18 reb, 6 assists, 7 blocks, 9 turnovers lol.
He’s flirting with a quadruple double. Against Denver he needed 2 more assists and one more block to get there while playing 33 minutes.

Gobert played last season with back injury, effected his athleticism, barely had any lift out there. He I'd healthy and much improved this season.

But wemby with his insane length and defensive timing is a freak. He let's people go by him just so he can demoralise them with a block lol, his reach is never seen before one.

Sengun trade talk is just barbershop type talk. Because since he went down they played more faster pace and gotten alot of wins with Green on heater running from coast to coast and setting high tempo.

Sengun is half court post up player with slower tempo style. But when he comes back they can prollly adap him to this newer pace and space approach. He is someone opponents try to double so more room for green and others to get buckets.

14 GB between Celtics and Knicks dafuq  Eastern Conference is a bit of a joke lmao

On the other side, 76ers (#7) and Heats (#8) are respectively 8 and 7 games ahead of Bulls (#9), both should be given an automatic playoff berth imo. I hence side with inserting standing triggers into play-in tournament rules, though it would be tricky to come up with an exact number.

As for MVP, Doncic has better basic stats than Jokic and SGA, but the Joker seems to be the fav to win it. Funny that Celtics hit a dominant 64 wins in a full-length season yet Tatum doesn't find himself in the MVP race conversation.

MVP is either Dončić or Joker...SGA is in top 3 MVP rankings with those 2 because he's not European and white...let's be honest...he's not half as good as those two.

Also Luka's team was not even Euroleague worthy till Gafford and PJ Washington came, and Kai was injured...keeping that team in playoff spots is insane...him having top 3 regular season ever and not getting MVP would be weird, cuz yankees are crazy about stats.

I don't think either of the play-in results are that surprising.

Edit: Just watched the Pelicans-Lakers highlights, damn, could have been so different without Zion's injury. Unfortunately that's just him.
