I posted his shooting percentage from 16-24ft just there. He doesn’t shoot often from there, but he’s over 50% from that range over the last two years.
Who knows if he succeeds, but players do evolve and add 3 pt shots with some degree of regularity in the modern game.

And Boogie can move, play as a stretch 5. He doesn’t need to be standing around the lane clogging it all the time, nor waiting out at the 3 point line exclusively. He’s a big man with great hands. Has a midrange game, a passable three, can put the ball on the floor, and is a good passer. Even alongside James and AD he doesn’t have to be pigeonholed into one place. He’ll move around. Find open spaces, to finish at the basket when opportunity presents, or to move out to shoot open 3s and clear the paint... pass the ball. Etc
If he gets back to his best he can easily fit with those two against good teams at the offensive end. The size and strength (alongside skill and touch) mismatch will overpower the vast majority of good teams in the front court and make that front court close to impossible to defend.
It’s more so the defensive end that would be problematic, but Vogel is known for his ability to coach defensive schemes, so i’ll trust him to figure that one out.
