easy.
Jordan locks down Steph, Pippen slows down Durant, Rodman makes Green his bitch. Harper was a pretty good defender too and had the size to guard Klay. Zaza and Longley is irrelevant. and Kerr is coming off the bench for Chicago so Warriors have no coach
It's ridiculous how people these dyas think that the Warriors, even the version with KD on, would have had a chance vs one of the top teams in the 80s-90s era (Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, Pistons, etc, etc).
The rules of the game back then - hand-checking and no 3 sec rule - would have made it virtually impossible for players like Curry and Thompson to get to the rim, making their game one dimensional as they would be only dangerous with shooting from a distance. And that's the problem - one dimensional means easy to predict, easy to predict means easy to defend. Curry and Thompson would have had a guy in their face all the time, not giving them the clear view of the basket they are enjoying now whenever they attempt a 3 pointer.
How come they get the clearance to shoot from 3 today? Because with no hand-checking and 3 sec rule, they can attack the rim, making them double-threat players i.e. less predictable. And then there is the matter of the soft calls from the refs in today's game.
Not saying the Warriors would go scoreless vs the Showtime Lakers the MJ Bulls or the Pistons but they quite possibly won't win a game vs those teams, and not only.
As for any Lebron-led team playing one of those teams, well Lebron will be curled up and crying by HT, so no need to worry about that.

I would say that there were more great teams in the 80's than today. Back then, every team had a star, even the Clippers. It's just that the Lakers and Celtics were head and shoulders above everyone else, which speaks volumes about how great those two teams really were. It was, and still is, the greatest rivalry in NBA history. That Rivalry, for that decade was unmatached.
Take a look at the rosters of the 76ers, Hawks, Bucks, Rockets, Trail Blazers back then. Insane. And I know that I'm missing a few squads from that era.
Yes, what I was saying was that the level of competition was tougher, not that all teams were equally good.
@Post Ironic knows that well, he just likes interpreting reality in whatever way fits his agenda.
I started watching the NBA in second half of the 80s, so that period and the following 90s are the same period for me, with the change of the guard being just part of the natural process. What those two eras had in common, however, was that there were many more star players scattered around the league, making the level of comp higher and giving the league more of a level playing field, and the game and the players were tougher. That's not to say some teams weren't better than others, with I would say the 90s having a bit more of said level playing field.
Today there are literally 3-4 HOF, if that, playing in the NBA and there is virtually no competitive basketball going on until the Western finals or the NBA finals. Not to mention that the game today is basically the NBA's version of flag football.
But I assume @Post Ironic has already twisted reality to make it look like Lebron will be bossing the NBA of the 80s and 90s
