Mods,

I've asked Burke very politely to remove my picture. Instead he has changed my signature a couple of times and the picture is still there. I expect some kind of action to be undertaken.
Yes I changed your sig once.
He has changed your signature?
Yea once and it was funny.
I changed it back, but yes. But I don't even care too much about that. I asked him to remove my picture (which is a normal question and TBH I'm not very happy about Burke's illegal actions) and I think he should simply oblige.
Illegal actions! what a joke.

I've done nothing illegal.

Don't even try to say that since you said I "can't use your pic" that it's illegal. You posted them for the world to see on facebook and that's where I got them from, Ive done nothing wrong. I took a screenshot using my computer making it my property and not yours. If you don't want those pictures used or viewed then don't post them in a public place.

Jesus Christ I've had my sig changed by other mods without my permission, I just let it go or changed it back. Our profiles do not belong to us, we virtually lease them from the owner of the site.
don't you think it was wrong of them to do that too? It's not about whether it's bothersome to you, just on a 'is it allowed' standpoint.

When I was a mod a used to change signatures and avatars all the time (poor Hanaukyo) and then I was preaching to other members how they shouldn't break the rules :seven:

It's not about right or wrong. Legal or illegal.

It's pretty much about courtesy. If Seven doesn't want Burke to use his picture, then all he can do is ask and hope Burke shows him the courtesy of taking it down. Burke doesn't have to. There's nothing wrong according to forum rules if he doesn't feel like it.

However, if mods decided to create a new rule or set a precedent as to the use of forum likenesses and personalities as avatars or profile pictures that would be a different story.

Oh and we don't lease the signature space. Lease implies a time limit, there is none. We simply use it as if it is a common space.

bianconero was leasing it to other people though...and quite shamefully too, I might add :p
