For some reason some posters here think they can say any vile thing aslong as they are "familiar" with the general community and think anything they say will be seen just as a joke.

Good on the mods to stomp that BS out
Not neccecarely

I get infracted wether i'm making a joke or not cause they take it serious each time.

Then again, about the 4th least popular guy on this forum, so that makes sense i guess

Racism is one of the worst things in the world though. And it's everywhere. Better safe than sorry in this context imo. Especially because the worst sanction is just a ban from an internet forum.

At the same time, there shouldnt be a restriction on humor.

Racism when used in a joke not meant to hurt, is fine. Comedians do that worldwide, and black folks with a bit of a spine arent upset about it.

There shouldn't be. But I think that when there is room for interpretation and it looks like it's just plain old racism A ban is warranted. Especially because it's just a ban from a forum.

In general a case can be made for satire or humour, but the lines where it gets offensive and vicious are very blurry.

And if you're referring to the post that got you banned last time, that wasn't even a joke.

Dude, she's what, five days old? Don't throw her away just yet.

I am trying to put the Tevez decision into perspective because the usual knee-jerking is getting sorta high up on the Tuz-0-meter.

Sometimes in your heart you gotta go with what feels right. Wouldn't be right to keep him here pretending that he wants to be here. Would be an insult to us. He is doing what he has always said he wanted to do. I guess the only beef now would be on the board for not pushing for a fee?

What you mean? You can usually see easy if she's black.
huh?

He means if she has a penis.

Thankfully I haven't had one of those "oh shit!" moments.

We had a nigerian guy in class. Everyone except one girl loved the guy. And we could make small racist jokes all the time, and he could laugh about it. Cause he knew we didnt mean it. In return we got these remarks about Leopold II's tour in Congo.

The girl that hated him, at some point went full racist on him, and fully meant it. And that gave an odd feeling in the gut. Cause it aint right and disgusting if you deliberately want to inflict pain with it to someone.
Afterwards, we (class) made an agreement that if she did that again, nobody would restrain him if he'd snap, and make up a story in case he got in trouble for it.

There is a big difference between jokes, and deliberate insults

Has anyone ever broken up with a girl because something didn't feel right?
Yes

Nice class you got there, picking on the only black guy. I would imagine you would laugh hard in a class in congo being the only white european male amongs those witty fellow congians.

I lived in Zambia the first few years of my life (1-3 years old). So I was the only white kid. The funny thing is that when we returned to Belgium, my first friend was the only black girl of the class. I always wonder if that was inspired by my racism towards other white people.

Or maybe not racism just plain circumstances and what felt for you more normal to what you felt more accustomed too? Not everything is racism you know.

And that zach is racist I think it's already known and obvious to all...

Racism is probably not the right word. I always found it funny though. The really weird part is that most people here have me down as some sort of bigot, whereas in real life nothing annoys me more than racism.

Oh i did not pick on the guy, its like the situation in the gym with the fellow powerlifters

The guy thats 1m74 gets TIC (tong in cheek) comments often about his short lenght
The other small guy who only dates african girls gets TIC comments about "liking the black market"
My fellow tall mate gets comments about him tearing his pec twice in the same year
I get (alot) TIC comments about talking to much between sets, past history of grinding reps with to high weight, etc
Another guy gets TIC comments of beeing a mirror image of johnny bravo, that would be doing 20% more if he spend less time on Tinder between sets.

The severety of those TIC comments, is the same as the ones i gave my nigerian friend. because he can take it, and return.

Hence, some of the returns were like "superior black athlete" and flexing his frame. :D

I'm not racist. I just dont hold back when i make an insult on the internet. I dont think about "wether this hurts more then that".

Got a great iraqi friend irl, come along excellent with all the easteren european guys in the gym, aswel as the "spanish armada" , "MMA turks(every turkish guy does MMA in antwerp it seems)", and the africans (they are allways fun and friendly).

Only people i dont get along with are Morrocan Berbers. But that has to do with the differences in personality that clash.

Then again, the only morrocan guy in my gym allways shakes hands with me and asks for a spot often. but he's friendly.

I understand your point Zach, but many people come out with their racial frustration and hide behind the joke card.. And having been here a few years as a lurker and regular post i can say that we have quite a few racist out here, and to keep them in check we gotta keep some boundries...
