If this is really how the epl is going to be than its really sad for football. As much as i hate Ibra being at inter and kaka at milan. Its what makes football so exciting. If every team in the epl will be owned by some tycoon (which it problably will be at the end) than the real passion is taken out of football. Football in England is starting to look like some fantasy football. I would hate if Gigli would state tomorrow that we had just bought: Casillas, Ramos, Ferdinand, Terry, Ronaldo, Messi, Aguero and hired Capello and Lippi as Managers. It would ruin my passion for Juve. And as for the players like:ADP, Trez, Chiellini, Momo, Leggrotaglie, Nedved and even Molinaro, although they're not the best team out there, they are still representing my team and what i love about this team.) Its sorta lke in PES, when juve were in B, i never went for Barcelona becouse of 'Dinho or Man Utd becouse of CR, no, i went for Juve becouse of players like ADP, Balzaretti, Bojinov, Paro, becouse of my passion for this team. I know Man city fans must be very excited right now couse their getting Kaka, but how will it be in a few years if they acctually do win the Epl, when they are watching Ronaldo and Messi lifting the trophy, then they must think back at the players that really made their team unique, their legends, like: Richard Dunne, Colin Bell, Niall Quinn, Neil Young amongst others. These are the players that really represent the team, not Messi, Kaka and Buffon, who all have their heart belonging to a different place(Barcelona, Milan and Juve).

so the times where clubs would only spend mega money on legendary players like Nedved and Zidane are gone.

imo the only player worth that kind of money now is Messi only.

the prob is that the minuter calcio starts selling it's top players once the money's rite, we may soon see serie A become labelled a selling league.

i no that it's being a big extreme, but looking at how many italian players are on the radar of the money men it may become a reality the way money men are currently flocking to EPL.

on the other hand tho, the fact that the money men of the EPL are lookin to serie A and not fellow EPL teams for strengthing says a lot about the quality of serie A players compared to the those in the EPL contrary to what ppl on these shores may think

It really would be.He's a romanista so I don't know if he would leave that easy...but...Sensi family is in huge debts(250mln +).Banca di Roma is helping them but not much.So if they really offer 60mln euors or something they might think twice.Personally I don't think it's gonna happen but we'll see.
yeah only his loyalty to roma could stop the deal. but if that same loyalty is put to the test by directors telling him he can help save the club then he may leave for the good of roma

tbh that is bollocks, not even messi is worth that much!! taht said there are only a few players in world football that the transfer record should be broken for-messi,kaka,ronaldo and buffon and man city are going all out to get undoubtedly one of the worlds best players

100% I'm a fan of De Rossi btw.
Me too. He's of the best players on that position IMO.

There were some reports yesterday that they plan to buy out Beckham from LA Galaxy if they sell Kaka.
They might buy out Beckham but as direct replacement for Kaka?I highly doubt about that.

yeah only his loyalty to roma could stop the deal. but if that same loyalty is put to the test by directors telling him he can help save the club then he may leave for the good of roma
I hope that doesn't happen though and I'm sure fans would go crazy if so.They should sell club because this way they will only ruin it.Only Totti gets more than 2.5mln/year there I think which is sad but I also respect more some players like De Rossi and Aquilani, how they don't complain about it and how they are willing to sped their entire career there even if there were Real and some other clubs ready to pay double wages.

and remaining resources will be spent on berluska's election campaign.then milan will return where they belong:tup:
You mean they will stay where they are? Because that's where they belong.

Btw guys, i'm surprised how stunned you are. People say that Man City, previously Chelsea, and in the future all EPL teams are killing the game with these transfers.
Are you forgetting how did serie A become by far the best league in the world? Are you forgetting that all the best players in the world played in serie A in the period from 1984-1998? Don't you wonder how come the Italian teams played in CL finals in 1989,1990,1992,1993,1994,1995,1996,1997 and 1998 (that's 9 out of 10) and the uefa cup finals in 1989,1990,1991,1992, 1993,1994,1995,1997,1998 and 1999 (that's 10 out of 11) ?

You think it's because they produced the best talents or because they were financially superior to the other teams?

Did you forget that it was Berlusconi the first guy who started messing up with the transfer market and inflated the prices?

These are the football transfer records from 1984 till today

    # 1984 Diego Maradona - Barcelona to SSC Napoli for £5,000,000
    # 1987 Ruud Gullit - PSV Eindhoven to A.C. Milan for £6,000,000
    # 1990 Roberto Baggio - Fiorentina to Juventus for £8,000,000
    # 1992 Jean-Pierre Papin - Marseille to A.C. Milan for £10,000,000
    # 1992 Gianluca Vialli - Sampdoria to Juventus for £12,000,000
    # 1992 Gianluigi Lentini - Torino to A.C. Milan for £13,000,000
    # 1995 Roberto Baggio - Juventus to A.C. Milan for £13,200,000
    # 1996 Alan Shearer - Blackburn Rovers to Newcastle United for £15,000,000
    # 1997 Ronaldo - Barcelona to Inter Milan for £19,500,000
    # 1998 Denílson de Oliveira Araújo - São Paulo to Real Betis for £23,000,000
    # 1999 Christian Vieri - Lazio to Inter Milan for £31,000,000
    # 2000 Hernán Crespo - Parma to Lazio for £36,000,000
    # 2000 Luís Figo - Barcelona to Real Madrid for £37,000,000
    # 2001 Zinedine Zidane - Juventus to Real Madrid for £46,000,000

The numbers may seem low looking from today's perspective, but the money Berlusconi and Juve were paying for Gullit, Baggio, Lentini, Papin and Vialli were just as amazing back then as 70m or 100m are today.

What goes around comes around. Juve fans, and especially Milan fans, shouldn't be so disgusted from what's happening today. Milan fans should be the last ones to accuse City for anything because they built their success exactly by shamelessly overpaying for top players and not leaving the others a chance to buy these top players.

if what is said about the moggi case likely to reopen the scandal is true, then the sh*t could be back in milan's court and others ofcourse, selling kaka wouldn't be such a bad idea if milan were to sell at a sky high price, rather than wait till they are relegated and sell for a cut throat fee.
