I dunno, it's a tough issue. I don't think he should have died, because that puts him on the same level at Katsumoto, and takes away from K's death as the 'lone hero'. He wasn't a Samurai, more of a mercenary (even though he fought for the Samurai because he liked em)

Yea, true, but hey when u think of it, i dont really have a favourite part in the movie. Atleast cant seem to put my finger on it.

Neway the saddest part of the movie was undoubtedly when katsumoto had to leave his son behind. and also when kasumoto died.
