Ranieri wil Trezeguet ruilen voor Crouch

Als het aan Juventus-manager Claudio Ranieri ligt, speelt Liverpool-spits Peter Crouch komend seizoen in Turijn. David Trezeguet moet dan, als Ranieri zijn zin krijgt, de omgekeerde weg gaan bewandelen.
Dit meldt het Italiaanse La Gazzetta dello Sport. Crouch moet in Turijn de opvolger worden van Trezeguet, die zijn contract maar niet wil verlengen bij de promovendus.
Overigens lijkt Crouch niet van plan te zijn Liverpool te verlaten. De spits stond in de winterstop al in de belangstelling van Juve, maar weigerde vriendelijk voor het aanbod.

You know, if Trez's value is in the toilet, and Juve wants a proven goal poacher and not a complete striker, Crouch would be perfect to head in those Nedved/Camoranesi crosses...

The guy is the epitomy of the unorthodox forward, but he can get it done paired with good wingers and a technical forward (like Del Piero)

There are much better forwards I'd rather have... but he's definitely better than a lot of options.
