Is it me, or has there been a over-abundance of "kids" in the top divisions now? I mean in the Premiership there has been:

Arsenal: Cesc Fabregas , Phillipe Senderos , Justin Hoyte and Gael Clichy ...
Aston Villa: Liam Ridgewell , Luke & Stephen Moore and Steven Davis ...
Birmingham: Darren Carter ...
Blackburn: James McEveley and Jon Stead
Crystal Palace: Tom Soares, Ben Watson and Wayne Routledge ...
Chelsea: Arjen Robben and Glen Johnson ...
Fulham: Collins John and Liam Rosenier
Everton: Anthony Gerrard (Cousin of Steven) and James Vaughon...
Liverpool: John Welsh , Le Tallec , Siname-Pongolle , Potter, Warnock and Raven...
Man City: Shaun & Bradley Wright-Phillips, William Flood and Stephen Jordan...
Man Utd: Wayne Rooney , Ronaldo , Jones, Rossi , Pique , Bellion and Eblake-Blake ...
Middlesborogh: Steward Downing , James Morrison and Tony McMahon...
Newcastle: Jenas , Milner , Ambrose , Steven Taylor Michael Chopra and N'Zogbia
Southampton: Blackstock ...
Tottenham: Reto Ziegler , Stephen Kelly and Phil Ifil ...

These are all the "kids" who have played in the Premiership this season, the ones in bold, are the ones who have impressed me and the ones who have a serious chance of "making" it in my opinion...

I've noticed the same thing....it's insane! If even half of them turn out well, and stay in the epl, we will have an extremely strong bunch of teams.

Do I see interesting derbies coming up?
I knew someone who point that out, thats why I kept it there, apparently this kid is meant to be better then Steven at the same age, although it doesnt matter, if he doesnt "step-up" then he'll be another failed prospect...

It's a natural changing of the guard.

Look: at Euro 2004, it was pretty much a given that anyone over the age of 27 (or another angle: anyone featured in a Nike commercial :D ) sucked.

My faves out of that bunch? (as if you asked) The obvious: Arjen Robben, Glen Johnson, Shawn Wright-Phillips, Ronaldo, and Steward Downing all seemed destined for big things. I think the verdict is still out on Rooney and Fabregas though, though they both could top that list.

Er, I agree with you, although I think it is a little puzzling that "the verdict is still out" on Rooney, when you put players like Wright-Phillips, Downing and Johnson who havent ever played well (or at all) in a major tornement, other then that I agree...

Happy actually, Fergie is starting to realise that alot of the "squad players" simple arent good enough, instead of papering over the crackes, this exposes them, and makes them do something about them...

no really i'm surprised of some man utd fans that think so highly of Ronaldo, while they've got other great young talents who are much better than Ronaldo.
