This is gonna be a boring winter mercato session unless Secco signs some crappy player for free and buys a player we don't need at that position.

I still think we need some cover on the right of the D, a young CB for the future(can be done this summer) and Pavel successor.

This would be a good time to take a chance on a youngster or two since the squad is not in need of any major changes.

Just sit back and watch Milan dominate the mercato, again. :D

Hehe, no it wouldnt be. We can sell Iaquinta for 11m+ euros to Roma or other Serie A teams, or make even better deal with EPL or La Liga teams like Villareal, Sevilla etc. He wouldnt be hard to sell. While with Gallas, even if he is quite good, those signing him from you would be looking for a bargain, and would prolly get it.

And regarding Modric, absolutely ridicolous if he would not go for him if he was offered.
Many here will disagree but i agree with you. It will be fair, imo.
But i don't see it happening simply because Juve won't be going after a CB. (then again, considering how Zebina and Knezevic are injured and we're left with only 1 real RB and 3 CBs, buying a CB this January may not be out of question).

I rate Gallas high though and maybe that's why i find such swap deal fair. I don't know if the market "says" the same. Iaquinta did spend a lot of time on the bench but when he plays he's scoring regularly. He plays for the Azzurri and for Juventus which authomatically makes him more expenssive than he would've been if he was still in Udinese. He's not even 30 yet and a good attacker is always more expenssive than a good defender.
Gallas is 31 and he will require very high wages, which may mean that his price will not be as high as Iaquinta's.

I think Iaquinta could bring Juve more $ than Gallas would bring to Arsenal and i think that playing by the market rules, Gallas+2 or 3m = Iaquinta.

I know Gallas would probably be available for a bargain price(he's obviously past it) but lets not forget that we're also talking about a striker who barely ever plays regardless of his quality. I doubt anyone would pay more than 10M Euros for Iaquinta. Alen is probably right though, Gallas + 2 or 3M is rather fair.

I saw that earlier.

My first reaction was that he was just writing for the sake of it.

I don't see there being a great deal of action next month.

well in my new role as supreme ruler of Juventuz, my first priority would be to get confirmation ASAP from badass on the Diego situation.
didn't you get that confirmation 3 years ago or you were too busy with Nancy? When I say Nancy I mean her pics.

:p I'm kidding dude, all in fun. :burke:
