the discussion about grygera being better or not as molinaro is of no importance. We need a RB, and that's a fact. I don't care if it's a sub for grygera or someone world-class, but we cannot hope that grygera plays 3 competitions with the all the hard work he's doing on the pitch. look at the game now against atalanta... no alternatives, we're probably going to play mellberg out wide...

We need a RB, even if grygera is better than molinaro...

our priorities should be: RB, LM and then someone versatile, like brazzo for helping out wherever he's needed (RM for example)

thats how we should think.. i agree..

Is Gio DPs replacement? I think DC is just temporary as a LM for Neddy only because he has some pace and can actually cross, however his right leg is only for running, thats all he can use it for whereas Neddy could use both equally in his prime. I think DC will take over for Molinaro once he matures more unless Molinaro works a miracle and proves us all wrong. To me it makes sense the board is just using DC as a cover until they find someone else only because he has done a pretty good (not great) job at it. As far as Gio, I think I share your concerns on that one, I am not sure what the hold up is with that guy other than DP is still in sweet form. Gio will just have to endure a little bit longer. He shows the right spirit, at least thats what we gather from his press releases although what might be going on inside his head might be entirely different that what we are reading in the news.

i dont think modric would be a good idea, especially as vinny the deal sub... man these people do not know how much they will lose if they let go of vinny ... he's a great striker and if he goes to england he will own all!!! and then juve will regret selling him, and amauri will get injured(***crossing fingers so that it wont happen*** ) and then we are totally fucked!,

Meh,we should have bought him half a year ago if anything.Leverkusen already paid around 10 m € for him, imagine what his price will be now after a few good performances.

We're linked with Feghouli again.

Yep,Renato is an offensive midfielder.I read a bit through a Leverkusen forum and they are very satisfied with him so far. He's even tracking back and got one hell of shot according to them.

So far he provided 5 assists and one goal in 17 matches. Not too shabby.

lol

cant believe people want modric. Probably one of the worst signings this year in premier league, he and gomes.
It shouldn't mean anything at all that he's not doing good in EPL. The ex-Yu football and the Italian football were very similar (afterall, the two countries were neighbours and have the same mentality) and ex-Yu players traditionally did very good in Italy (and also in Spain). Especially the more technical midfielders and attackers do good in Italy. Savicevic, Vucinic, Boban, Kovacevic, Pandev, Stankovic, Stanic, Boksic, Asanovic and many others did very good/great in Italy. Also the more defensive players like Tudor, Mihajlovic, Simic in his prime, Katanec did good. At least most of them.

But there are many differences between the ex-Yu football school and the English football and i don't find it surprising that even some great players like Davor Suker couldn't make it there, while good technical players like Kranjcar and Modric are just ordinary there. On the other hand, the physical Vidic is well suited for the EPL.

These players were being raised to play technical and more tactical football and that is why they may be great in Italy but look very bad in the EPL.
I'm 100% sure that Modric will be much better in Italy than he is in England.

Modric has been very good and consistent ever since the Arsenal game though, he had a terrible start but he's now starting to get back to his best.

Look how much playing time he's been getting now and imagine how much he'll play when Trez will be back. He may easily become a 5th choice forward and he's too good + his salary is very high for a 5th choice attacker.
I think that he won't accept it and he'll ask to be transfered somewhere else.

If it suits both parties, i don't see why shouldn't we sell him. I'll be happy if he plays great somewhere else, outside Italy, i won't regret it at all, because i know that he won't be getting any chances with us.

I'd take Iaquinta in a heartbeat. It would be beneficial to all parties involved. RVP is injury prone and Iaquinta would get more than enough playing time here. He'd also suit the physical nature of the EPL. A Iaquinta - Gallas straight swap would be fair i'd say.

Hehe, no it wouldnt be. We can sell Iaquinta for 11m+ euros to Roma or other Serie A teams, or make even better deal with EPL or La Liga teams like Villareal, Sevilla etc. He wouldnt be hard to sell. While with Gallas, even if he is quite good, those signing him from you would be looking for a bargain, and would prolly get it.

And regarding Modric, absolutely ridicolous if he would not go for him if he was offered.

Many here will disagree but i agree with you. It will be fair, imo.
But i don't see it happening simply because Juve won't be going after a CB. (then again, considering how Zebina and Knezevic are injured and we're left with only 1 real RB and 3 CBs, buying a CB this January may not be out of question).

I rate Gallas high though and maybe that's why i find such swap deal fair. I don't know if the market "says" the same. Iaquinta did spend a lot of time on the bench but when he plays he's scoring regularly. He plays for the Azzurri and for Juventus which authomatically makes him more expenssive than he would've been if he was still in Udinese. He's not even 30 yet and a good attacker is always more expenssive than a good defender.
Gallas is 31 and he will require very high wages, which may mean that his price will not be as high as Iaquinta's.

I think Iaquinta could bring Juve more $ than Gallas would bring to Arsenal and i think that playing by the market rules, Gallas+2 or 3m = Iaquinta.

I hate when people such as lil zlatan talk about the player while he has no clue about him. He is probably basing his opinion on summer friendlies or the start of the season.
