I do want a new coach after Ranieri's contact expires. But why can't I respect Ranieri, compliment him and congratulate him after all the decent job he has done, despite his mistakes?? What if I don't expect a Scudetto anyway in the next 2 years?? Does that make me a non-ambitional loser??
No it makes you realistic. When Juve where sent down to serie b a long term plan was implemented. As Blanc said it would take about 5yrs to restore Juve as a geniune title contender.Fortunately for us the team has made great progress & exceeded expectations. As a result of continuous success for the club its only natural that fans would expect more from the club.

Why Malouda?
- Would be an improvement to all of our wingers bar Camoranesi.
- Wouldn't cost too much and is available in January.
- Would slot in quite naturally into our 4-4-2.
- Is a direct player with end product.

Why not?
- Is 28 years old. Not at all old, but wouldn't be a long term replacement to Nedved.
- Would not add a new dimension to our play the way Nedved did in his prime.
- Has looked average ever since moving to Chelsea.
- Cup tied if we bring him in January - We could do better in the summer.

We can do better if you want really great players, like Ribery, but out of realistic but also upgrade signings (and not mediocre like we done mostly), then Malouda would good signing because he is a very good player, no mistaking that.

Not the first or last player to not function so well in one club (though he hasnt been bad, just decent, not great, I heard people saying what a flop Mutu was before we signed him from Chelsea too). He is no Ballon D'Or material, but would be MORE then adequate for us, and better then the likes of the pig farmer.

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but Schweini renewed his contract with Bayern.

EDIT: source is http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=70084
german television asked karl-heinz rummenige (president of bayern) today and he denied that schweinsteiger did renew his contract...

rummenige knows that there are clubs that want bastian, but he is optimistic because schweini wants to work on with bayern ...

Considering we have Marchionni and Sali running on our flanks, Nedved propably retiring and DC not being what we need on the flank, I'd think Malouda would be hell of a signing in january (shame he's cup tied). Gallas is really good but he's of the wrong age and he's attitude is something I certainly wouldn't want here.
