Hamsik is not a fantasy signing at all, nor would he cost 40m euro. Stop exaggerating, Napoli wouldnt want to sell him too eagerly, but they are still Napoli, a mid table club, if the player wants to make a big career move, they cant do much to stop him.

And while not being in a hurry, there is no reason why he should want to stick around much. He is a realistic signing aslong as we bid adequately for him.
I just don't see the Napoli directors ever giving us some chance at him unless we pay big bucks. Anyone can see Napoli are fast emerging and yes if Hamsik does decide to move at some point i'm sure it will be to a different league
I agree with Luca. Napoli's plan is to build a team capable of CL qualification. And their directors know very well they can't do it without Hamsik, Gargano and Lavezzi. And they wouldn't want to sell them now, because it's too hard to find players of their quality and their age.

I know Napoli want to keep him, ofcourse they would. But players like Hamsik are becoming accomplished more and more, and with that comes ambitions for more. A vital one being big salary (CL, title aspirations etc), Napoli wont be able to keep hold on him too long at all, regardless of their intentions to do so.

We have seen the story of an ambitious mid table club being forced to sell their players, dont know why you are acting like this is something unique that Napoli will withstand.

Dont mean he will come to us, but that the will sell him, to someone, abroad or domestically (us or Inter mainly I would guess) depends on the highest bidder, and the player's wishes. But they wont be keeping him for long if he keeps this up.

He is still young and I would think the big clubs didnt go for him in the summer not only because Napoli were hesitant, but the clubs not willing to offer the big payday because they want to see if he is a one season wonder or not. And so far, he is far from that. So you'll see the summer will be more hectic then last one for them.

Wouldnt mind him, because he is a VERY good passer of the ball (he has the most offensively intended passes in the league), and is a realistic signing for January. But mainly he oughta be a squad signing to replace Zanetti eventually, but as a starter we need a bonafide top quality CM.

napoli are no way going to sell him to us, they see us as their main rivals no bid under...I say 40mileuros will be accpeted.
:shifty: what !! Come on guys don't push it too far. Hamsik is talented and good but he's not the most gifted player out there. Robinho who was madrid's best player and i would say among top 3 talents in la liga cost man city 40 mil and some people still think that city overpaid for him.

Hahaha. 40m euros is twice too much of what he deserves to go for.

As Dule said, Hamsik is more of a 17-20m euros player. More then that, and he needs to do more then he has. There are VERY few players even worth 30m+, and Hamsik isnt one of them.

And for fuck sake, Hamsik isnt a frigging pipe dream. I didnt realise how Secco has altered your perceptions :p But Hamsik is NOT a pipe dream, there are alot of great players in huge teams we can say are extremely unlikely to get. But Hamsik in frigging Napoli isnt one of them.

Hamsik would not cost more then 20m euro's IMO.

From what I've seen this season, D'Agostino is a good player with nice passing, would fit in well in our midfield I think. Was he that youngster at Roma a couple of years ago?

Edited.

I was talking about Hamsik,Osman.

10-12 is too much for Gaetano btw.
You think so Dusan? There aren't many players on his position who could be available in January for this money.
Yeah, its him. Its only fair we get one of their former youths, they have our former youngster Brighi playing well for them.
Brighi...was supposed to be one hell of a talent. He is getting better lately.

Gaetano wasn't that good while playing for Roma so I don't think his price is that high.

I guess around 8mln euros would be his price.

To help us out yeah but I don't really want to see him in our starting 11 next season.I doubt he'd accept bench role now.

True,he didn't shine before joining Udinese but then again Amauri or Toni are late bloomers aswell. He scored 3 goals and delivered 5 assists in Serie A this season. Not too shabby.

napoli a mid-table club? have you ever looked at the table? In fact, they have the same amount of points as we do. And napoli, to me, are not of the best examples of a positive revolution in the recent history of serie a. They are DEFINATELY on their way back to international level. Believe it or not. And Hamsik is part of that plan, just as all the other young lads around. That will in fact make hamsik pretty much fantasy signing. The only way to get someone like hamsik would be to not only splash some cash, but also to make sacrifices. I could see napoli giving us hamsik in exchange for giovinco or something like that, which we all know, no one would agree with (from the fans at least).

Forget hamsik, that deal just won't happen if we can't persuade him to come over and he himself pushes napoli to sell him. And by 'persuade' i mean giving him a shitload of $$$.

Back to the rakitic-subject: i don't think that he'll be available for a reasonable sum, which would correspond to his actual performances. He still has that 'super-talent'-tag upon him, which just raises his natural market value for another 10m.

As for schweinsteiger, i wonder why nobody ever mentions that his preferred side is on the right. He's right-footed if i remember correctly and i haven't seen him in the Neddy-position so far. In the NT, he gets to play on the left, but at bayern, i think he stays clearly on the right. Maybe burke can give further infos. What i would like to know is if burke would want to keep him at bayern. :)

He's just decent player in my books.I know what you mean but I don't think he can do what Amauri and Toni did.

how is hamsik a proven player ?

did he ever play for a big club ? did he set the uefa cup alight ?

i can name you hundreds of players that are great at small clubs and then suck on the big stage ...
i think hamsik is good, but not as good as people make him out to be, he can be very inconsistant at times, and personally if we were to buy a player similar to him, id sooner risk going for aquilani who is easier to aquire and at least you know what you're getting.
