In my opinion, schweinsteiger is not a good player to us... in our team we have giovinco and De Ceglie to that position...And we have also Fausto Rossi, Ayud Daud, Simone Esposito, Giuseppe Giovinco, Pasquato, Iago and Lanzafame. I'm very optimist and at least one of that guys should make it to Juve squad...
For me, what we need is a young good center back...Zapata or Santacroce would be amazing...

Another thing, we should try to buy De Silvestri, because Lazio will need money to buy Zarate...

to many "could" and "would"s in here for my taste, but everyone may have his own opinion.

it's just like with Ballack when he played for Bayern .... when Bayern played bad, he did play bad. There was no occasion, where he even tried to change the direction of fate and fight ... don't get me wrong. Ballack is good, when everything around him is good, but he was never the leader he ought to be.
With Schweinsteiger it's similar, but with the exception that he often doesn't do much, even when the others around him (like ribeiry) play good.

read a few posts further up ... i wrote "for free it would be ok" ;)

on one hand i think he would not be satisfied being substitute to camo and probably moan in the media about it (which could generate problems under the players) on the other side i think right now our players are so united, that they would rather stand to ranieri and not to a new player that moans ... but you never know.
on the 2nd point. Sure ,( even though ballack almost got bayern the double by himself in one year) but Schweini does not step as much with Bayern like the NT. But the potential is there and that is where the change in mentality comes into place.

Fair enough, i didn't read that. Also he may well be a trouble maker but getting a player like him is big credit to this team imo.

I mentioned torchowski before, what do you think of him ? as a camo sub and a versatile midfielder to bring in ?

IMO the oppurtunity to buy Schweinstieger for free outweighs the rather remote possibility of one of our primavera stars actually getting to half of the level of Schweinsteiger..

I was a big fan of De Silvestri but ever since it seems January this year he's form has dropped significantly and his defending is that poor that not only has he been dropped from the Lazio starting 11 but when he does come on as a sub it's as a right midfielder..

a few years ago i rated trochowski pretty high ... together with van der vaart he played a few good matches for hamburg ...

the last time i saw him though he was weak in my opinion. it was a match with the nationalmannschaft and he did have 4 or 5 terrible shots on goal which could have been a goal if he would have opted for another kind of shot ... it got so far i thought "why the fuck is he always shooting if he nevers gets on target", but then he had a lucky shot and scored the only goal of the match i think. so the last match i saw from him was bad, but he is pretty young and i think he is pretty similiar to marchionni (which is nothing bad) ... for free i would actually take him, because he is more of a quite character and would not mess around if he did not get his spot in the first eleven.

for me he is like the parma marchionni just a bit smaller.

the positive thing is, he is in no way a striker or second striker and would not interfere with giovinco

a further quality of him is being able to play the ball with both feet...

trochowski is, at best, mediocre. Leave out that one goal, and there's little left of him (in the last 6 months or so). He's decent, has a bit of pace and all, but he's nowhere near the class of a striker we are used to at juve.

As for schweinsteiger, i believe the only reason he could be interesting is because of his free-agent status. I'd never pay a transfer fee for him, because i believe he's one of the most overrated mids around. Again, he did have his good moments but overall, he's failed to step up when needed. He had his best games when Bayern were leading anyway, and he could just shoot and do whatever he wanted. I don't mean to make everyone bad, but we clearly need to fix our level of expectation. if we want to replace people like neddy, camo, del piero, etc in the long term, in that case schweinsteiger is the wrong solution.

Anyway, i don't think he'll leave bayern at this moment. It's the usual contract talks which make him appear in the headlines every now and then, but in the end i think bayern will get his signature, because they don't have real alternatives in his position, and a new transfer would definately cost them more than those 4m salary he wants.

he is not a striker ! he is an attacking midfielder and like i already wrote the last game i saw from him was (apart from the goal) pretty mediocre.

he does have pace (you mentioned it) and a certain level of technique required by the attacking midfielder position ... i don't know though if he can defend

i totally agree

i don't see him leave either ... bayern players are "heimchen". they won't go anywhere because they are afraid of change i guess. very few prospects leave bayern ... just look at lahm (not that i rate him that high, but others do), podolski, kroos ... i think these players have more fun sitting on the bench with bayern then join other clubs to get starting time ...

do you want someone like that ?

Lyon ponder Trez exchange
Friday 7 November, 2008
French giants Lyon may be preparing a part-exchange swoop to bring Juventus hitman David Trezeguet to the Stade Gerland.

Trezeguet is currently recovering after surgery on both knees and is expected to return to action in January.

However, given the glut of attacking options at Claudio Ranieri's disposal, it is possible the French international may struggle to find a place in the first team.

According to a variety of sources in France, Lyon are considering offering Trez the chance to return to his homeland and are willing to offer Juve highly rated striker Karim Benzema in exchange.

At the age of 20, Benzema is seen by many as Trezeguet's heir for Les Bleus and he already has 35 goals to his name in Ligue 1 from just 88 appearances.

A number of top European sides are keeping a close eye on Benzema, but Juve could trump them all as they have the ideal bargaining chip in Trezeguet.

Man these guys can't do their f*ckin' job it's unbelievable!!!

I went to a couple of French sites and there's no mention of a swap deal. They just say...in case Lyon sell Benzema to another European they'll look at Trez to be a potential replacement.

You want to know the nest part? They quote the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

Barring the fact that some shitty newspaper claims a done deal, i think benzema would be a great great buy for the after trez-time. He might be a little too similar to amauri, but benzema is, in my opinion, one of the best in his role.
