no dude they are all spot on...if we can add those players next season, it would be quite something :) Ivanovic looks difficult though...he's starting to play for Chelsea these days, and they already turned us down once before...Santacroce would also be a great addition IMO

Poulsen just got here so he wont be leaving. Grygera is our only performing RB and Sali is worht keeping as a squad player. Chimienti does not play and is virtually worthless.

We have been trying to sell Tiago but he wont go .. likely because no one will match the wages we are paying him?

The club are trying to terminate Andrade's contract.

I wonder if we offer Roma Iaquinta + Tiago in the winter window will they give us Aquilani? That would solve our problems in terms of CM and we would not have to worry about having a player who does not do work in the midfield and is only a CAM)

He could be responsible for our midfield distribution and would pop up with some goals. He is not signing a deal with Roma so they might be greatful to get a CF who works well with Spalletti in Iaquinta and a CM to replace Aquilani (Tiago)
Roma must realize they need some more firepower up front seeing how Mancini left and they are garbage without Totti.

Selling a great player like Iaquita would be sad but we need a good CM more that a good forward who does not get much playing time. Priorities...
Plus Trez will return in the winter so we wont be lacking a CF. Then we can bring back Paolucci in the summer too.
probably the most sensible post i have read in a while in here:juventus:
while losing vinny from the attack would be rubbish, with the money saved on transfers we could get someone else in there eventually. the main point is that we need someone in MF and this would work out well for everyone involved

Iaquinta is not irreplaceble. we would have a replacement in Paolucci.

Del Piero/Giovinco ----Trez/Amauri/Paolucci.

Also we bought Iaquinta for 10 million tiago for like 10 million but we can't sell him for as much as we bought him for and he hardly plays.
Aquilani would be a starter and if we can get him for a sub(iaquinta) and a player who does not play. then it will be a good bit of transfer business. A player like Aquilani is the missing piece of the jigsaw for us.

Ekdal is far to young to even be considered right now and Marchisio is nothing like Aquilani. As for Alonso he would be great but the problem is Liverpool did not sell him to us and ask too much for him. Plus he did not put up much of a fight to join us. I like Iaquinta .. but we should be objective and get what we need.
And do you think that we will be able to get Aquilani for less? Bc I don't

I'd rather have aquoiani than alonso, and itsnit because he's Italian, he has a very good allround game compared to xabi, xabi is good dont get me wrong but he's not as great as many people here make him out to be some kind of a messiah.

I feel the exact opposite :p while Aqui scores more goals than Xabi, Xabi's passing ability is just magnificent...we have our share of goalscorers, we really need a guy who can provide the assist, where IMO Xabi is a lot better than Aquilani

not less maybe... but we could get him period. Liverpool wont sell Xabi in the winter or even in the summer now seeing as the missed Barry and Alonso is performing so well for them this season. Roma on the other hand might be willing to do business seeing how they are struggling and getting 2 good players which they could really use in Iaquinta and Tiago for one whose value drops each transfer window as he wont sign a contract might be favorable to them. Plus Aquailani scores more goals than Xabi, is accustom to Serie A, already has played with many Juve players in the national team, is younger and is wanted by Buffon over Alonso :smoke:

anyway thats just what I think

ahmed, trust me on this, I watch Liverpool every week, yes his passing is good but he does also loose the ball in certain positions where they are extremely vunrable to counter attack, he is also pretty slow. I just think certain people are blowing his abilities out of proportion on the little but best bits they have seen of him.

Totaly agree mate, one of the cheif problems is that our goals always come from the usual suspects, hence we are predictable and easier to stop; compared to say inter who have many players that pop up with a goal. we need a goalscoring midfielder in the mix as well as camo.

so Ranieri was right?

:scudetto:

anyway, I may be wrong but what I saw of Pool (vs PSV) recently was a diamond formation with Gerrard playing behind the FWs, Kuyt and Riera on the wings and Xabi in front of the defence...I think he excels when he has a DMF as partner (Mascherano), where he can play with a little freedom and not be too bothered with all the defensive work...in our case, that guy could be Sissoko or Poulsen

I really dont see Alonso coming here. Liverpool wont let him go and I doubt he will be encouraged by Ranieri's rave review of him lol

Aquilani would give us something Nedved used to with his distance shooting from outside the box. I think he would be great a dictating our midfield play and when he gets close to the box defenders will have to step up to close him down and this will free up our strikers. Also Aquilani is not purely an attacking mid so it wont be a problem to incorporate him into the same starting 11 as Giovinco .. if we get say Diego or Modric it might be a problem to play 2 strikers with Giovinco AND Diego in the starting 11.

i wonder where you fantasy manager get your facts from ... it's certainly not from the real life, because in the real life x. alonso did only score 12 goals and make 2 assists in the last four seasons ...

and don't start with "but he does do the pass to the man that assists"-shit...

it is more difficult to assist than play to someone who does then assist another player for a goal

what will alonso do ? will he play to our wingers more often with his wide passes ? oh, i forgot ... we always had a thousand chances where some molinaro, grygera, salihamidzic, nedved and camoranesi were in decent positions to get their crosses right ... if there is one thing we do not have it is a winger with good precise crosses. camoranesis high balls are only useful if he is near to the centre, but his crosses from the wing are not better than mediocre.

you watch too much from this

and too less from this
