The Azzurri currently have the most promising crop of youngsters coming through, possibly since the mid-1980s when the likes of Paolo Maldini, Gianluca Vialli, Roberto Mancini, Roberto Donadoni, Riccardo Ferri and Ciro Ferrara were all starting to make their mark.
The Gazzetta have attempted to select a team of players all born after 1986, and by these rules, in 2014, the on-loan Rimini goalkeeper Andrea Consigli will be between the sticks, protected by a back-four of Lazio’s Lorenzo De Silvestri, Arezzo’s Andrea Ranocchia, and the Juventus-owned duo of Domenico Criscito and Paolo De Ceglie.
In midfield will be the incredibly skilful Andrea Russotto of Treviso and Parma’s Daniele Dessena, with Siena’s Fernando Forestieri, Pisa’s Alessio Cerci and Inter’s Mario Balotelli supporting Milan teenage hero Alberto Paloschi.
On the bench there is also a multitude of talent with Juve-owned Sebastian Giovinco, Parma’s Luca Cigarini and Cagliari’s Robert Acquafresca all surprisingly overlooked for a starting place. Villarreal's Giuseppe Rossi was not chosen at all.
The rest of the subs bench would be made up by: Alfonso (1988, Venezia); Bastrini (1987, Modena), Bolzoni (1989, Inter), Giovinco, Di Gennaro (1988, Bologna), Paonessa (1987, Avellino).

Yeah but...That`s what I think but he has been linked Inter lately and some other clubs too.Then he said he wouldn`t mind playing for Inter. :shocking: Weird to hear something like that from some romanista.I always thought he`ll stay in Roma always no matter what but maybe its all just media BS.Anyway if they are willing to sell him I`d take him any day since I think he`s one hell of a player but the thing is he looks kinda injury prone.

He has injury problems but is playing regularly now, Ranieri coached him at Valencia and I think if we put in a bid of 10 million pounds Koeman would let him go (cuz Koeman is a fucking retard and a jackass)
In form Vicente is one of the best Left wingers in the world without a doubt. Better than VDV i think too. If he came here and and hit form it would look like a brilliant move i think.

Unhappy Crespo Slams Mancini
Inter veteran Hernan Crespo has publicly stated that he's far from happy with his bit-part role at the San Siro...
The veteran striker may be something of a legend among the nerazzurri faithful, but he's fallen into disuse of late under coach Roberto Mancini. This is a situation that he's far from happy with.
"I've been generous enough for seven months in trying to hide my sadness at this unusual situation.
"It's not my teammates' fault, so I've been careful not to behave in a way that could upset them.
"They, and the fans, do all they can to make me feel valuable, but I can't keep wearing this mask. I'm not happy and there's no point in trying to hide it."
Crespo, 32, was injured during the summer, but feels that his treatment since then has been unfair.
"People keep bringing up the injury, but the extent of it isn't true," he said.
"I hurt myself in July in the Copa America, but I'm absolutely fine.
"Last season taken into account, I don't know why I'm playing so little. I thought I'd be involved more."
Referring to comments from coach Mancini that Crespo was 'penalised' by injury and needs to 'improve', the Argentine continued, "Mancini's the first to admit that I've been penalised, but a striker needs confidence.
"He says I'll be there when it matters? If he says so... Personally, I see myself as a player who can help in Serie A, not just the Champions League.
"I hit my involvement record for the season today - 85 minutes of a match. What a shame it's already February."
