I'd like to see Secco get some balls and go after Modric, hes got a chance because well hes not brazilian which cuts his transfer price in half. I think he's a Juve kind of player!

and we're going to miss out on Modric too..After the Euros he is going to be on all of the big european teams radar..which will inflate his price a bit..which in turn will scare Le Boss away.
I hope you don't because that would mean Chelsea for him and that would be, well, criminal.

Well it's not us but Milan are mentioned in the same sentence with Modric. It's a start...and it's from Tribal. :D

Arsenal, Chelsea target Modric "best midfielder in world"
tribalfooball.com - November 23, 2007

Chelsea or Arsenal will be landing a genuine world star in Luka Modric, says Italian agent Sabatino Durante.

Both Premiership giants are chasing the Dinamo Zagreb midfielder, who admits he wants a move to England in January's winter market.

Durante, who has former Croatia international Milan Rapaic on his books, said: "He is an extraordinary player, the best midfield player in the world that exists.

"People talk forever about Frank Lampard, but you must realize that this is a boy from 85 and already has more than 35 appearances with the Croatian national team. This player can do everything.

"I'm surprised a team like AC Milan, which has opened doors in Croatia, has not thought of this player. Certainly today you'd have to pay £15 million for him."

He's worth every penny. In a game against England he showed all his maturity and quality. He was maybe only a player who in last ten minutes of the match was able to hold up ball and dribble unlike other Croatian players who were just kicking the ball outside of danger area and not to mention that he looked tireless cuz he was running like the game just started. He is a must !!! I just hope someone from Juve noticed him, but I highly doubt that. And for the sake of Modric I just hope he don't sign for Chelsea.

He is class. And I still hope he doesn´t go to Premiership although he is most probably going there since he admires Premiership and has 2 good friends there: Kranjcar and Eduardo.

Now, Chelsea have the financial advantage because they can offer more money to Dinamo Zagreb who wants as much cash as they can get but Arsenal has the advantage of Eduardo being there, so if there is not a big difference in offer from both clubs and Dinamo accepts both offers, I think Arsenal has a slight advantgae ( good news, Fred Weasly :) ) because he would like to reunite with the former colleague which would be great for the club too. Modric and Eduardo are a scary duo. :agree:

If he decides to go to Premiership, I am hoping it will be Arsenal. I gave up on him since our board is clueless about signing potential legends so far..... :sigh: but it is inevitable he will leave Croatia. Shame, he would be a real bargain!

Arsenal´s future is bright. I hope they will play regularly in the future as I don´t want to see their careers ruined (which won´t happen as long as Wenger runs the team). I mean, who can be better at developing these 2 jewels than Arsene? :)

Weasley, for how long is Wenger staying??

we have to look at his price and see if it's really worthwhile for that talent and also if there's really a difference with what we have with in Giovinco.

Buy a player just to buy a player is not good managerial strategy. We have to look at what we got and what we really need.

I agree, but he doesn't play same position as Giovinco and he could be real force for us in the middle. He play great as CM, he is good as playmaker and in defense too and also he is runner. He have everything what CM should have.
