I'm against us selling our best players; Trezeguet and Camoranesi, but this doesn't mean that we'll win the Scudetto in a decade from now.

We sold in a short period of time champions like Baggio, Vialli, Ravanelli, Torricelli, Vieri, Di Livio, Peruzzi, etc... Even though, we still managed to win and to lead. I know that we should replace any player we sell, of course we'll do. Despite not being optimistic about the next season, I don't think it will take us more than three seasons including the previous season to be crowned champions again, hopefully.

Every team encounters the problem of losing its stars and every team should be able to solve that problem right away.
I'm sure Juve has a backup list for every position in the field, if not, our management isn't competent enough to lead a Serie C team and should resign.

I was commenting on how long will take us to return to our top footballing performance after selling our star players, of course it won't be a decade.

From the strikers we're linked to, I don't see anyone is capable of replacing Trezeguet. Yet, I prefer Bianchi.

From outside the same list, there are dozens and not all of them are desperate to play in the Champions League, like Luca Toni.

If you want a striker with no desire to play CL, the ones you're looking for are the ones who won it all and those who are young and talented and want a chance to proove their skills. So you have to opt for a player who is done for in 1 or 2 years or one who is not yet proven. Both are not the ones most posters are looking for here.

Generally, I think that the negative feedback of losing star players, even if they're replaced with another top players, won't last long. And the proper time of a winning team to return to find its norm depends mainly on the team's character and the number of newcomers to the regular eleven. This certainly would be clarified with time, actually I think we're able to do it.

As for Huntelaar, I don't rate him much high to be honest.
