Football changes over the years and Juve have adapted over the years although always counting on a strong defence. I think what people are asking for is a CM who can contribute more to the attacking part of the game. I like the solid Juve. I actually enjoy to watch great defending ( thats why I still want Canna back :D ) But I think the time for 2 ball winners in midfield is over. Now atleast one CM has to contribute to the attacking play. Zanetti and Gianni is for me two ballwinners, but we are getting there with a player like Paro. He needs to improve, but got great vision and I like his passing, and he works hard defensively. With him last night Juve looked much better compared to the Zan + Gianni lineup IMO.
I think I can agree with this.

Lets analyze this with next year in mind. Giannichedda is gone next year (supposedly) and most say that Tacchinardi will not be coming back, nor will Blasi. Therefore, we will have Zanetti and Paro. I have faith in Paro, but I just don't think he is good enough yet. We need a DM. If we are to get a CM that can contribute, we need to make sure that they can play defense as well. I beleive that Gilberto is the man for the job. If we picked up Gilberto, we would be able to buy a youngster like A.Diarra/M.Diarra/Sissoko/Mavuba even Sneijder. This gives us depth and options in the CM.

What happens with Camoranesi will also play a big role here. If Camo leaves, we are then pretty much forced to start Nedved at LM. This leaves Neddy on the left side with no backup and Salihamidzic on the Right with Marchionni. I am not so comfortable with that setup. If Camoranesi stays, we can spend more money on the central midfield, or we could buy a high priced Winger and move Nedved to CM.

We have a slough of possibilites, but we really can't speculate until Camoranesi makes a decision. But, at the same time, we can't afford to wait without action as well. For now, picking up a very good DM, along with a solid Winger, would be the best and safest choice. When Camo makes a decision, we can spend more money appropriately.

what about Ambrosini? I didn't realize until yesterday that he will leave on a Bosmna this summer if he doesn't re-sign with Milan. He's been injured the last couple of years but when he plays he always scores that important goal and he's very solid defensively. Just a thought.

if he came here then he will expect a starting position and imo we should stick with zanetti and bring in another creative midfielder.

Kind of inbalanced, no? Great forwards, even greater midfield and then you got one average defence.
