Robben would be a jackpot.
most definetly, if we were to snatch one of him or robinho, that would be a great bargaining chip for convincing our stars to stay. hasan, grygera are good signings but we need a few world class signing as well, roben or robinho would most definetly be that.

With that signings we are not going to be a powerhouse.
who do you expect us to sign? Ronaldinho? Henry? :p

We have to be realistic. We may be able to attract SOME world class stars, but it will take us atleast a year to be able to be an attractive option for most footballers.

Besides if the team can click together with the new signings, there is no reason why we can't challenge for the title.

Robben could be a realistic option. He is unhappy at being a bench warmer and since money does not matter much for Chelsea, then I think that we could get him for a reasonable price. I do not think the same can be said about Robinho. I would prefer us to concentrate on getting 2 class center backs and a centeral midfielder before we think about a forward and a winger.

robben alone would increase our pace by 60% percent. seriously wouldn't you want someone dynamic, fast like hell on our flanks?

I would want someone, dynamic, fast like hell on our flanks. For me, predictable Robben does not fit in that category.
okay he may not have a vast array of tricks and flips but he's still good with the ball at his feet, goes past defenders with ease, has a good cross and can score easily from the edge of the box. we could use a predictable robben imo.

He was decent at PSV and in his first year at Chelsea, but he hasn't shown anything since. Besides he is a whiney prick. I'd rather have an aging Nedved on our left flank for another season.

and he dives better than Nedved :p
that's kind of hard to do, but you got a point.

this season almost every key player chelsea has has underperformed, besides robben barely got any chances this term. on a side note, mourinho really killed their midfield with ballack.

Robben is to fragile to play in Italy, he should go to Spain.
He has great potential but he is injured to much, and players like gattusso, nesta, matrix and so on won't spare him if they face him.

yeah but they couldn't catch him. :p

j/k, you got a point there but i would be willing to take a gamble on him, if the price is right of course. if a injury prone trez can hold his own, maybe robben could as well.
