As a direct replacement, Diego Milito would be the perfect choice for us and he is better than Huntelaar. The man is at his peak now, he is strong, consistent, very dynamic, deadly header and he is the second goalscorer in La Liga so far.

On the other hand according to what I've watched of Huntelaar, he is a good striker but he is much useless outside the box. He's played only on the Dutch league which is far weaker than La Liga. And to be honest, I think he is a bit over-rated on our forum.
What was Milito like at Genoa and why did he go back to Spain?

As far as I know, he played two successful seasons at Genoa and he was the team's top scorer. But, I don't know why he joined Zaragoza specificly . Might be because there weren't there much options.
Fair enough. I haven't really seen enough of him to judge.

Have we been linked to him at all or is this just a guy you like?

Yes, we've been linked strongly to Milito's brothers since the last January's transfer market. But Diego's rumour has calmed down. Whereas, Gabriel is still linked to us more stronger than before, as you know.

milito would be great but Huntelaar is a perfect all round striker and also got some head power...

so i would go for the hunter

a good impression of a glance 07/08

Buffon
Grygera Barzagli Milito Chiellini
Almiron Gilberto Silva
Camoranesi Nedved
Del Piero Huntelaar

Mirante
Zebina Boumsong Criscito Birindelli
Zanetti Mavuba
Salihamidzic De Ceglie
Palladino Iaquinta

Sissoko will stay at Liverpool
Guily will go to Marseille
Saviola will go to ManU because Tevez won´t go
Trezeguet will go to Inter

Trez won't go to Inter
De Ceglie has been loaned to Siena
We won't get Gilberto and Mavuba.
Nedved will retire (I hope I'm wrong)

TBH I don't really mind Trez leaving as our game is concerned. Our team is going to be worse, on paper at least, then the top flight and we need a forward who can participate in the build up more then Trez. That said I don't want Huntelaar either, of what I've seen and heard he isn't that kind of player.

good point but allot of people will disagree.

IMO playeres such as trez and huntalaar are lethal in the box but they do almost nothing other than that (passing or dribbling). they are perfect if you have a strong support.

not having this type of player will open up the creativity in building up the attack. a very good example is this year's ManU when RVN left the team became free in their buildup

Inter is talking to Trezeguet.

and why not gilberto silva and mavuba... explain to me
and who could be the sub for nedved, cuz he is gettin older De Ceglie is young and potential.

I think we may sign Mavuba or Gilberto but not both.

You may be right, this is just my gut instinct without any real factual basis. Except De Ceglie, I think he has been loaned.

Why would you go for Huntelaar, because he's perfect? So, why he's perfect?
seeing him play in the eredivisie and i kive in holland,
he got some quality shot technique,
he can head some great goals see him do that allot of times.

but there is a minus.

he is not used to high performance, the eredivisie is not that difficult.
so will he succeed in SERIE A?
time will tell...

but Milito already played in A but didnt succeed....

so i made my choice , hunter is younger , cheaper and is SHOWING potential...
you never know he could be the new VAN NISTELROOY. nobody saw him as a potential superstar and MANU took a gamble and are still making money of him.
