He doesn't play much in the attack minded Lyon system. He has all the attributes of a solid Juventus DM. And he has the experience we need for a starter for next season.

What is the deal with us not honing in on this guy? He is a beast!

Alou Diarra is one of the guys I want Juventus to sign the most. We will have to overpay players to get them to come to a non CL team. Foreign players don't care about the mystique that is Juventus.

It's not about overpaying his wages. Lyon love squeezing the last penny out of you when it comes to buying their players. He's a good player but for the same money we can get Gilberto who is just as good and maybe another player.

we dont need defensive players in midfield...we have to look for attacking players who can change the game with a moment of genius...players like Ribery, Diego or Sneijder.....Juve always keep 2 DMFs in central midfield and thats why we are a good league team but always struggle in Champions League...

Speed is the most important feature in the modern football, especially in midfielders.

We have to look firstly for defensive midfielders then for attacking midfielders, or you'll get owned.

Players who can change the game with a moment of genius can only do with the presence of strong quick destroyers behind them.

As for the Champions League, any team can struggle in the CL, it isn't a rule. Juventus reached the final of the CL four times in 8 seasons, where is the struggling? And for winning the CL, it doesn't just depend on the two centre midfielders, but there are reasons, the matter isn't that simple. Where is the team's harmony, the type of midfielders a team has including the wingers, substitutes, used tactics, motivation, ambition, etc...

I think one slow DM isn't that bad. Look at Emerson: he is by far the slowest DM I know but he played good for us. But then again we need a quite fast player to partner the slow one...
