Emerson just joined Real Madrid and his first words were:

"I am very happy, that after several missed occasions I have finally arrived here. Thanks to Capello, a manager with whom I have worked for a long time, and who has showed his respect towards me once again. I have played in Germany and in Italy - now I have arrived in Spain where one of the best leagues in the world is played. I do not think I will experience problems in adapting myself, especially in a squad consisting of many Brazilian friends of mine who will help me out".

People shouldn't speak so badly about Cannavaro, Zambrotta and Thuram. Whatever, Andy, you might call Thuram a mercenary, but he was with us for a very long time and did what he had to do for Juventus. Same goes for Zambrotta and to a lesser extent Cannavaro, who during their period at Juventus didn't say one bad word. You're a bunch of sad fans.

They never said they would definitely stay.
The last two years are not to be erased, I feel that we won those Scudetti on the pitch, they are mine.
I was proud to be a Juventino and I still am. Serie B? I would have no problem playing in it. I have two years left on my contract and I want to respect it.”

By Fabio Cannavaro...

I can't find what Zambrotta said, but he said something similar...

In my evaluation, Thuram's honesty of not lying on Juve fans should be appreciated...

Good point

I miss both Zambrotta and Cannavaro, but, as for the latter, if I may "be so bold", his time here has meant nothing. The last two seasons have been erased, so fuck it. Thank you Fabio for giving your very best while playing for us, though, and for leading the Azzurri to the World Cup. But you went back on your word and that's a big minus.

As for Zambrotta, I must admit I expected a bit more loyalty and that it at least would appear very difficult for him to leave. But he seemed somewhat careless.

I appreciate everything Zambrotta, Thuram and Cannavaro did for Juventus but now they're gone, we brought some much needed cash in, and it's time to move on.

The thing is they were all mercenaries to begin with. Canna was fueled with hatred in napoli parma and inter, and then pretended to love Juve. Thuram same... zambrotta couldn't care less where he'll play after Bari as long as it's a big club like Juve. Of course every one who comes is a mercenary" to begin with but in time some kind of loyalty clings on. With Del Piero, he's the only one who cares. He said many times in the past that he doesn't want to ever leave and he means it, he really loves the team, city, history and symbol. I think Juve touched on Nedved and Buffon in some way too even though they had reach history behind them, and thus they're also great symbols. I really think that anyone who leaves and is fit while doing so and the club would have wanted him to stay is a prik who doesn't deserve any respect. And that includes Zidane for example.

I agree with what you said about Zambrotta. He was one of my favourite players and I thought he was a real Juventino. But he jumped ship like he changes his shirt the next day. That was very disappointing. Cannavaro changed his mind and I don't respect that, but with him and what he said in the first interview in Madrid I have a feeling that he really had a strong black and white bound to our club.

Hey Burke, are you gonna change avatar soon? ;)

Been here since November 2005?

I think my avatar has changed for about 3 weeks total since then.

Unless yiy are talkinga bout becomeing a Juve fan, then the answer is no.

I would like to say that i would support Parma if I had to choose, and I am a bayern fan through and through.
