Granted, it's not something that's taken place overnight, but the future of the German NT seems nothing like what I've seen in the past. The stereotypical rough n' tough, big and burly hecklers seem to have been replaced by a more youthful, creative, and (if I may) likeable side.

Kahn and Lehmann are set to be replaced by Hildebrand, Scholl and Neuville by Deisler and Schweinsteiger, and the long gone Jancker and Bierhoff by the pretty boys Kuranyi and Klose. Gone too are the days of Metzelder, Nowotny and Ramelow, with the influx of exciting talented fullbacks such as Tobias Rau, Phillip Lahm and Andreas Hinkel. Only Effenberg seems to have found in Ballack a successor in the same mould, without whom the team would be nearly unrecognizably un-German in the near future.

With a coach seemingly heading them in the right direction, I must say they look like a team to watch.

Your views please. :)
Forget klose, Podo is the man, and I would not say that Rau is even close to talented.

Do you know how many goals Klose scored this year?? 9 or 10!

And Podolski...

I think until Podolski is playing at cologne, he will not be in the Confed cup Form!!

But I hope that he change to a top-club at the winter-periode!

WTF?

The media roasts Klinnsman and this mediocre German side- not one ledendary player among them, and the only player who could become great (but will fall short of World Class) is Podolski, but ultimately his inept lack of any heading skills will always stop him from being a world class striker, as his play other then that is not good enough (though granted is very good) to be considered World class.

Its a grim future for the NT.

Perhaps thats good looking by German standards :D
When it comes to men, Erik's standards are the only ones that carry any weight around here. ;)

Aye, I like Podolski, Rau on the other hand seems a tad raw but has alot of potential IMO.

Bayern Munich owns the midfield in the German NT. Not big of a surprise because what I saw in the games against Juventus they looked huge.

 German evolution? Hardly. This is more of a collapse. They've lost their "rough and tough", and replaced it with a bunch of crybaby losers. Klose, Kuranyi, and Podolski are all talented, but none of them have any backbone. Deisler is a wimp of the first class and does not even believe in himself, the German Beckham indeed....

Crybaby maybe, but losers? Only time will tell. There are teams that play well enough without 6ft 500pound hecklers.
