Dear mates, lets make a little poll here and see what majority of us prefer.
Choose one of these 2 options that you prefer more:

1. Buying Gabriel Milito (~20 ml)
or
2. Return of Canna and Buying Barzagli (~13 ml)

I myself prefer 2.

You?
The first option with my eyes closed.

Yes. Opting for the second option is like saying: "Let us waste all our money on two fat people".
For more accuracy I prefer to say that if we opt for the second option, it will be like wasting our money on an overrated defender and an experienced defender who will be a short term solution & who maybe past his best.

Still having a sweet spot for Canna, eh?
I don't blame you for that. He's a great defender and did well for us and Italy in the very recent past. It's just that he has had so much success now that I don't think he would be the right solution for us. I mean, his house probably doesn't even need mirrors anymore, considering all the silverware he got.

And, I won't rest on this one - he has indeed put on a couple of pounds since moving to Madrid. Must be all that wonderful spanish cuisine :D

No, you haven't got me, mate. Yes, I considered Cannavaro someday one of my all time favourites, but this has nothing to do with Juventus at all. And most importantly, I can't respect him now after the way he opted to leave us in our greatest plight ever; he isn't welcomed anymore.

In fact, when I commented on your post, I was looking at it from a rational point of view. I still think that Cannavaro will have two good seasons before his retirement, but his performance with Real Madrid was nothing compared to his classy solid hard working performance during the two seasons he spent at Delle Alpi, that's why I said he maybe past his best and he won't serve us a lot if we get him back. By the way, the majority of people here know how much I like to see Milito in the Bianconer's jersey more than any player else, just ask mark77. :D

I think all this speculation is still BS...there has been no official word from any of the clubs involved nor the players...all media specualtion and nothing else

Option 2.

Militio isn't THAT special. Cannavaro is at his old age still as good, if not still better than Milito. While Barzagli is decent and could be as good soon. Cannavaro and Barzagli combined > Milito.

i think we need to buy back canna and then buy barzagli. canna sucks as a madridista but he was amazing at juve and he will be again. plus i dont understand why we are looking at new strikers? we need to convince trez to stay and buy central defenders!!!! we need at least two class central defenders because boumsong and legro aint gonna cut it in serie A

Barzagli is shit compared to Gabi Milito. The latter is fringe world class if not world class already, so there is really no comparison.

Let douchebag Cannavaro stay at Real and lets spend the cash for a proven leader of the defense.

option 2 is misleading anyway since Real would want 10-12m € and Palermo 12-15m € for Barzagli. A good negotiator would bring these numbers down though...for Milito too.
